- New NMax 125 top-end model unveiled
- Gets a new TFT screen
- India debut likely at 2025 Bharat Expo
Yamaha has taken the wraps off a new version of its popular scooter – the NMax 125 for the international markets. The latest edition is called Tech Max and it is the top-end variant of the scooter.
This new variant is based on the standard model which now gets a new dual-LED projector light, better ergonomics and a massive 25-litre underseat storage. There’s also keyless ignition and a USB-C charging port as standard. But because it is a new top-end model, the Japanese manufacturer has given it a new 4.2-inch full-colour TFT screen with integrated Garmin navigation. It also gets a leather seat with gold stitching and new pain options.
The NMax 125 continues to be powered by the same 125cc liquid-cooled motor which makes 12bhp of power and decent torque as well. The CVT gearbox does a decent job on this scooter. The rest of the cycle parts like 13-inch wheels, non-adjustable front forks and, 230mm discs are all from the older version.
Yamaha is asking for a decent premium for the Tech Max model, but it doesn’t matter for the Indian market as this scooter is not on sale. Interestingly, Yamaha is likely to showcase the NMax in India early next year at the 2025 Bharat Expo.
