- YZF-R125 gets sportier
- Gets bigger windscreen
- New number-plate holder, indicators
Yamaha has decided to make its most affordable fully-faired motorcycle – the YZF R125 sportier. The company has introduced a sport back for this bike.
The sport pack consists of a host of accessories that makes the motorcycle look more aggressive and may also help in going a bit faster. In terms of aesthetics, there are new stickers on the wheels and also a tank pad that has an artificial carbon-fibre finish. The turn indicators are different too. They are fully blacked out which does make the bike look a bit more enticing. The number plate holder at the back is new too.
The change that could marginally affect the overall performance of the bike has come in the form of a new windscreen. It is slightly bigger and has a black tint which could help in providing better aerodynamics. Almost all changes are in styling and the 125cc motor has been left untouched.
This sports pack will hit the European markets in the next few weeks. Sadly, we don’t get this bike in India. We do have the YZF R15 though, which is a cash machine for Yamaha in India. We can expect such cosmetic upgrades as we get closer to this year’s festive season.
