- Gets a new TFT dash
- Retains connectivity features
- Powered by the same 125cc single-cylinder engine
Yamaha has introduced the updated XMax 125 in the European market. The baby maxi-scooter has received new features alongside its larger sibling, the XMax 300. Here’s what it gets now.
The XMax 125, just like the 300 is also offered in two variants: standard and Tech Max. Both trims are powered by the same 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine and its output is rated at 12bhp and 11.2Nm. Even the sharp and youthful design has been retained. It features the same split LED headlights and sporty styling which could lure younger buyers.
On the feature front, it now gets a 4.2-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity. The latter gives you access to calls and messages notifications, Garmin navigation, and music playback.
It rides on the same telescopic front fork and dual rear shocks. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a 267mm front and 245mm rear disc unit with single-channel ABS. The brakes are mounted on a 120/70-15 front and 140/70-14 rear tyre. The 2023 Yamaha XMax 125 weighs 167kg and gets a decent fuel tank capacity of 13.2-litres.
As of now, Yamaha India only offers the Aerox 155 sporty maxi-scooter in India. And the Japanese bikemaker has no plans to bring the XMax 125 here soon.
