- Gets a new paint scheme
- The standard rear shocks are replaced with Ohlins’ unit
- Retails at THB 2,09,000 (Rs 4.7 lakh) excluding taxes
Yamaha has launched the Xmax 300SP in Thailand with upgrades on both the mechanical and cosmetic front. The updated maxi-scooter has been priced at TBH 2,09,000 (approximately Rs 4.07 lakh) and here’s what it offers.
The Yammie has retained its sharp and aggressive design. Donning a fairly muscular attire, the Yamaha Xmax 300 gets the same fascia housing the LED light, topped by a fairly large windscreen. However, the maxi-scooter now gets a lick of grey paint with contrasting red alloys and red stitching for the seat.
The most notable upgrade comes in the form of Ohlins springs at the rear. This should aid the ride quality of the Xmax 300. Not to mention the bling it adds to the scooter’s overall aesthetics. With that being said, the motor remains unchanged and it’s still powered by a 292cc liquid-cooled single mill belting out 27.2bhp and 29Nm. No changes whatsoever.
Yamaha India has shown no interest in bringing the Xmax 300 to the country given its pricing and the market for such large scooters here. However, if you are looking for a tad bank account-friendly maxi-scooter, check out Yamaha’s Aerox 155.
