- 2023 Yamaha Crosser launched in Brazil
- Gets a new LED headlamp in place of a halogen set-up
- Semi-digital console replaced by fully-digital unit
Yamaha has launched the 2022 edition of its 150cc adventure motorcycle, the Crosser, in Brazil. The motorcycle has received a couple of updates on the feature front which make it more practical and desirable.
While the overall tall and rugged styling of the bike has been retained, the halogen headlamp has made way for an LED unit along with a fully-digital instrument cluster. There’s a charging socket too, for keeping your electronic devices up and running.
The 2023 Yamaha Crosser is powered by a 149cc, 2-valve engine that produces 12.2bhp and 12.74Nm. Although it’s not big on numbers, one interesting trait of the bike is that it can run on petrol as well as ethanol and even offers 0.1bhp more when running on the latter.
In terms of cycle parts and dimensions, the Crosser is a quintessential ADV with a 19-17-inch spoke wheel combination suspended by long-travel telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. The wheels are shod with Metzeler Tourance dual-purpose tyres. The Crosser is also quite light tipping the scales at 134kg (kerb),
Yamaha retails the Crosser in two variants – Z and S in the international markets. It’s unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon. But if it does in the future, it could be a great alternative to the Hero Xpulse 200 which is currently the smallest ADV on sale in India.
