Yezdi Jawa’s parent company forms a joint venture to make and sell BSA bikes

- New JV formed for BSA debut

- Goldstar launch on 15 August

- Expected to be priced around Rs 3 lakh

Classic Legends – the company that sells Yezdi and Jawa bikes in India have entered into a joint venture with Tube Investments of India Ltd. This new JV will make and sell BSA bikes in India.

Through this new JV, both companies will hold 50 per cent of the new entity and will focus on manufacturing and retailing BSA bikes, its parts and also accessories in India. TIII is a part of the Murugappa Group of Companies.

As of now, there aren’t many details on how this JV will work. But it is clear that Classic Legends wants to keep the BSA brand away from the Yezdi and Jawa range of bikes. The first bike from this JV is planned to be unveiled on 15 August.

The BSA Goldstar has been spotted multiple times testing around Pune. This will be the first bike that will be launched and is expected to take on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. In terms of price, a sub-Rs 3 lakh would be a great start for BSA, because the overall feature list and performance will be lower than the RE.
