- Yezdi Roadster priced from Rs 1.98 lakh
- Powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled engine
- Offered in five colours
Classic Legends has brought back the iconic Yezdi brand to India with three all-new motorcycles that will take on Royal Enfield. One of them is the Yezdi Roadster that comes with a starting price of Rs 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Smoke Grey paint scheme.
The motorcycle is available in four other colours- Steel Blue, Hunter Green, Gallant Grey and Sin Silver that are all priced at Rs 2.06 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, the Yezdi Roadster is a city cruiser that comes with minimal bodywork. The overall silhouette does look like the Yezdis of yore even though it is based on the Jawa 42. Powering the Roadster is a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 29.7bhp at 7300rpm and 29Nm at 6500rpm. While the motor has been derived from the Perak, it has been retuned to produce lesser power.
Nonetheless, the Roadster rides on alloy wheels shod with 110/90 section front and 130/80 section rear tyres. Suspension duties are performed by telescopic forks and twin shocks at the rear. Meanwhile, braking equipment consists of a 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
When it comes to features, the Yezdi Roadster is decently equipped. It gets a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp and a circular LCD instrument cluster along with dual-channel ABS. In terms of competition, the Yezdi Roadster will take on the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Honda H’ness CB350 as well as its own sibling- the Jawa 42. With bookings begun across India, we can expect deliveries to commence sometime next month.
