- Classic Legends to launch Yezdi brand tomorrow
- Likely to introduce three motorcycles
- To go up against Royal Enfield
Classic Legends, the parent company behind Jawa Motorcycles, is all set to launch the iconic Yezdi brand in India tomorrow, 13 January.
Apart from a few teasers that the company revealed on its social channels, it has been tight lipped about its plans officially. However, with a number of spy images, we do know that Yezdi is likely to introduce three motorcycle in India. And while it is known for its retro motorcycle, the new Yezdi’s have gone the modern way. To begin with, there is an adventure-touring motorcycle that will go up against the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 250 Adventure and the Benelli TRK 251.
There also is a scrambler-style motorcycle that would be a first of its kind in the segment. Now, we also expect Yezdi to introduce the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 rival that has been spotted testing several times before. Nonetheless, all three motorcycles are likely to come powered by the same 334cc, liquid-cooled engine as the Jawa Perak which churns out 30.64bhp and 32.7Nm.
Moreover, the Yezdi motorcycles are also likely to come with some interesting features to help them stand out from the crowd. As for pricing, we can expect Classic Legends to price the Yezdi brand competitively. But more on that, tomorrow! Stay tuned to BikeWale.
