The last week brought along just one new launch in India. However, we were still on our toes due to a host of interesting unveils that took place at the ongoing 2021 EICMA show in Milan. We covered every note-worthy event from the international motorcycle show and outside of it. In case you missed any of them, here’s a round-up.
Royal Enfield SG650 Twin concept unveiled
Royal Enfield showcased the new SG650 Twin concept at the EICMA. In case you don’t know, SG stands for Shotgun and it will be the name of one of RE’s upcoming production models. It will be a toned-down version of the concept with a bobber styling and the same engine as the existing Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. To get more details about it, we will have to wait for the official announcement to be made by RE.
Royal Enfield 650 twins special edition unveiled
The Chennai-based bike maker also unveiled special edition models of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 to celebrate its 120th anniversary. These bikes boast a special blacked-out theme with hand-painted golden stripes on certain components along with die-cast brass tank badge. Mechanically though both bikes remain the same as their standard counterparts.
2022 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX launched
Kawasaki brought the 2022 edition of the litre-class sport tourer, the Ninja 1000SX, to our shores. It will be available in two new colour options – Emerald Blazed Green and Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray. Besides these new colours, it remains the same as the outgoing iteration of the Ninja. It is available with an ex-showroom (pan-India) price tag of Rs 11.40 lakh.
BSA, an iconic two-wheeler brand that was discontinued a long time back is all set to be revived by Mahindra-owned Classic Legends. Notably, the first bike from the brand will be launched in the UK on 4th December. One of its upcoming motorcycles was spotted testing in India a few months ago but we don’t think BSA bikes will come to India anytime soon.
2022 Ducati Panigale V4 revealed
This year’s Ducati World Premiere had a surprise for us in the form of the 2022 Panigale V4. The motorcycle has been improved on a lot of fronts and the most surprising change is the bump in its power output. Thanks to some mechanical revisions in its engine, the Panigale V4 makes about 1.5bhp more at 215bhp. Click on the story link to read all about the updates in detail.
