- Zero FXE electric bike launched in select international markets
- Priced at USD 11,795
- Unlikely to enter the Indian market
Zero Motorcycles has launched the FXE electric bike in select international markets. For the uninitiated, Zero Motorcycles is an American electric two-wheeler brand. The company had rolled out their prototype in 2006. The Zero FXE gets a supermoto design. The e-bike comes with a sharp beak upfront, LED headlamp, LED taillight, five-inch TFT instrument cluster, two riding modes (Eco and Sport) and a connected application that displays riding stats.
The electric bike is powered by a 7.2kWh Z-Force lithium-ion battery that lends it a combined range of 121km when ridden at 89kmph. This battery pack requires a charging time of 1.8 hours to go from 0-100% when charged via the quick charger. Customers are expected to purchase the quick charger at an additional cost of USD 600. Furthermore, the motorcycle uses a Z-Force permanent magnet motor that produces 45.6bhp of power and 106Nm of twist. This battery and motor combination makes it reach a top speed of 137kmph.
The electric bike is available in only one variant and a silver colour option. It is priced at USD 11,795, which converts to Rs 8.8 lakh. While Zero Motorcycles has launched the FXE in select international markets, its arrival in India seems highly unlikely.
