Zero Motorcycles unveils the DSR Black Forest Edition

Zero Motorcycles has revealed a Europe-only adventure touring motorcycle called the DSR Black Forest Edition. The bike is priced at GBP 18,785 (Rs 12.2 lakhs)

The bike sports touring accessories like black aluminium panniers, knuckle guards, a touring windscreen and seat, LED auxiliary lights and a head light protector a standard. To boost its appeal, the all-black bike gets camouflage graphics on the tank.

Powering the bike is Zero’s Z-Force powertrain which produces 70bhp and 157Nm of torque and gets a top speed of 168kmph. The performance can be customised using the manufacturer’s mobile app. The DSR Black Forest can travel 262kms in the city and 125kms at highway speeds on a single charge.

Zero also offers an optional ‘Charge tank’ which increases charging speed for GBP 2300 (Rs 2.12 lakhs). It also offers a range-extending battery for GBP 3000 (Rs 2.76 lakhs) that provides a range 328kms in the city and 156kms from highway runs. However, there is space to install only one of these on the bike.

The Zero Motorcycles DSR Black Forest Edition will be available across Europe from next month. As for India, the bike is unlikely to arrive here anytime soon given that there is limited scope for performance-oriented electric motorcycles.
