Zero’s most affordable electric bike launched in the UK

Zero Electric has just launched its most affordable model – the SR in the UK. This electric bike will go on sale starting this month. 

The Zero SR looks almost identical SR/F model but gets less fancy looking components. It also gets plain and simple looking paint schemes to keep costs in check. This EV gets the ZF 75-10 motor which has been tuned to deliver 166Nm of torque and peak power of 74hp. The Zero SR has a claimed top speed of 167kmph. 

The rider also has the option to upgrade SRs to make their performance equal to that of the SR/F. The performance figures will then look like 190Nm of peak torque and 90bhp and a 193kmph of top speed. 

The American EV company claims that the new Z-Force batteries, which utilise lithium-ion technology which is now becoming the standard, rather than the exception, in electric motorcycling. These batteries are designed to be lighter and provide improved range and greater energy density than before. 

The Zero SR has priced at a whopping Rs 17.6 lakh in the UK and will be available only in graphite colour.
