- Zongshen RE3-Chopper retro-style motorcycle launched in China
- Priced at CNY 29,800
- Available in six colour options
Zongshen in collaboration with its sub-brand Cyclone has launched the RE3-Chopper. Before launching this retro-style motorcycle, the company had also come up with the RX6 ADV which is powered by Norton's 650cc parallel twin.
The retro-style motorcycle surely looks muscular in terms of design, complemented by its 17-inch spoke wheels, stainless steel exhaust and chunky 19-litre fuel tank. It gets features like all LED lights, LCD digital instrument cluster, a leather cushion seat and smartphone connectivity as well.
Powering the bike is a 377.8cc TC380 engine which churns out 36.2bhp of power at 9000rpm and 35Nm of torque at 6500rpm. For effective braking, it uses a disc on both ends, and the bike ride is taken care of by inverted forks at the front and hydraulic damping at the rear.
The China-based motorcycle brand has a workshop area of about 15,000 square metres and an annual production capacity of three million motorcycles. The RE3-Chopper is available in seven different colours and is priced at CNY 29,800, which converts to Rs 3.4 lakh. Although, the chances of the brand arriving here are negligible. But, it goes up against the Honda Hness CB350 and Royal Enfield Classic 350 in terms of displacement and body style.
