Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer, Zontes Motorcycles is also set to make its Indian debut soon with the 350cc line. However, its international portfolio continues to grow as it recently launched the 125 GK Scrambler in Europe.
Design-wise, the Zontes 125 GK Scrambler features neo-retro styling like a typical scrambler bike. It gets a round LED headlight flanked by LED indicators. Adding to the aesthetics are the bar end mirrors and the lever guards. The slash-cut exhaust also bumps up the bike’s looks.
Zontes has plonked a 125cc single-cylinder Euro-5 compliant motor with the output rated at 14.7bhp. It’s mated to a six-speed gearbox. The 125GK gets a 20-litre fuel tank and tips the scale at 160kg. The Zontes 125 GK Scrambler gets a TFT screen with ample data on the feature front. It gets a speedometer, odometer, fuel level and more.
It rides USD front forks and a monoshock setup while the braking setup comprises a single disc at both ends. Zontes has even offered a cover for the front disc. It also gets a belly pan and engine crash guard for added protection. Zontes has equipped the 125 GK Scrambler with 17-inch spoked wheels wrapped in dual-purpose rubber.
In Europe, the Zontes 125 GK Scrambler is priced at EUR 4,290 (approximately Rs 3.3 lakh sans taxes). That’s a quite high asking price for a 125cc motorcycle. Zontes will offer the 125 GK Scrambler in three paint schemes: gray/yellow, black/gray, and black/orange.
