Style yes it is the only pro for this bike.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox gear box is very bad as it strucks while chaning the gear from the day 1 and the solution told by service engg is to open the engine.

    Ride quality & handling ok.

Final words this review i wanted to write for long time. I generaly dont write review but for this i want to write. I know i am wasting 30 mins of my time but let me help peoples decisions.

One the data of delivery found dent in the tank, what they did is just take another new bikes tank and fitted in my bike by changing the tank lid(who is the poor guy who go that tank). On 3 day found oil leak took vehicle 3 time to showroom not resolved. Local mechanical found that showroom people tried to fix damaged part which came with new vehicle with m-seal. Becouse this part costs rs100 m-seal costs nothing. I would have given rs100 then comming to showroom 3 times.

From the first day engine piston noice was high if we ask the service engg immediate answer is to open the engine. Enven it is 1 month old vehicle, how bas it feel to open engine of new bike they dont understand.

Only 6000 done thay are asking me to change chain spraket. I used my rx135 for more then 1l kms still running with same chain spacket. Very thin layer of painting just removed by carrying lunch box by keeping tamk for 3 months. Bike just vibrates too much such that nothing visible int he mirror.

Till now i have changed due to poor build quality 1. Mirror 2. Self starts some sensor 3. A part in chase for covering a hole.

These people just check nothing else. I don't about other bike except 2 of my bikes if qality of others also same may be you can go for it.

Areas of improvement dealer network just cheat people. Getting appoinmnet for serive is like getting iim admission. Poor quality service engineers.

    Horrible experience.

Bought my electra fom the jhandewalan outlet in sep 2015. In the last 10months, 11000km, i have to get my clutch at around 8000km and leg break at around 2nd service changed. The top speed is a joke. Seriously.. The bike shakes at 80kmph speed. The coat on the engine wore off with scratches from my bag. A cycle rammed into my front tyre and they changed the entire handle stick. Not joking!! ofcourse the gear box getting stuck is a legendary problem with re.

Last friday i noticed a thud sound coming from my chain, at the service centre they showed me that the pins of chain wheel on which the chain rotates have begun falling out..I m not kidding, the tips were compeletely uprooted ..Not just 1 but 4-5 as i was told.Best part is that theytake money for everything as the standard dialogue is "running part ki guarantee nahi hoti".

Another day wasted at the royal enfield service centre. I had my service done alongwith it too. Total bill 3600rs.

Since then my gear isnt changing smoothly but changes with a pressure and alongwith a loud thud and the start plug is working after 5seconds of holding it.

I think that the re uses sub-standard material to manufacture their bikes and now i am genuinely contemplating a legal action against them in the consumer court.

  • Its not for middle class mid range salary person like me

    1. Buying experience - was well purchased on the eve of the Deepawali festival.
    2. Riding experience - using this bike from last almost 7 years daily, was ok kind not like its the best bike ever designed for king-like comfort totally lie.
    3. Details about looks, and performance:-
    A. I am a fan of vintage kinds of bikes so purchased them, I am good with a look as I purchased the bike after seeing it physically.
    B. Bear in mind, with a lot of maintenance, people mislead you by saying it's a white elephant so needs royal feed - if that is the case then the bike output must also be like an elephant right, just looks like an elephant but in-fact its dummy elephant.
    C. Low-quality material used color fades within a year or so, and mudguards start rusting within a year you have to replace everything chain pocket, clutch wire, rear brake, backside hand holder, indicators and wiring, headlight and so on except the engine, if that part also came in with problem then you are totally gone.
    D. Without battery it never starts - even if it's only a bike with a kick, not auto start.
    4. Servicing and maintenance
    A. Service people are only good at writing down the issue and creating invoice without mistake, they never solve the actual problems you mentioned except water wash(they does it well).
    B. If I call anyone from my family for a long ride of 300-400 km they directly say no, they know out of 400 km you have to walk 200 km while pushing the bike.
    Pros and cons:
    Pointers:
    1. We can proudly say I have a bike worth 1.35l only.
    2. Good to show people around in the parking.
    3. Every 5k run with even low mileage also needs a lot of maintenance every other day new problem shows.
    4. You will replace all the parts in 3-4 years for sure.
    Suggestion:
    1. Take a mid-range bike like splendor(dad owns it for 19 years), which asks only timely service of cost 700-800 rupees on 2000km run and petrol how much do you use a bike that's it?
    2. No headache like clutch wire cuts in the middle of the road, no parts replacement often, bike start problem with the battery, finding right mechanic everywhere (this bullet mechanic showcases themself like surgeon) , if you go for physician(heart. General) checkup usually they take visiting charge of 500-600, but these bike surgeon fixed rate to touch the bike is 800 minimum in my area.
Happy path: dad suggested I take a second-hand car after seeing all these, and loaned 2l rupees by adding another 50k rupees from my saving and taking alto 800 lxi, till now after purchase only changed part is the battery never stopped, any fear of middle road stay. It asks only for petrol and regular service as expected from every middle-class buyer.
I am not a promoter or salesperson, a sad soul with a mid-range salary, I know the pain of earning.
    Middle-class bullet buyer.

  • A real review of royal ride

    Abhishek Jogta

Buying a royal enfield is not simply buying a bike but to have the legacy that comes with the brand royal enfield. Go to the dealer, have a trial, and if you like it, book it. It will be delivered to at a time. Approx. After 2-3 weeks. Ha ha royal enfield . Wow what a ride. It looks good that old school charm in it. Solid re logo carved on the tank. Sitting position is comfortable, handling is good, linear acceleration but braking is poor. I'm not demanding for abs but there should be front disc brake for better stopping. Rear shocks are very poor gives jerks to the spinal cord of pillion rider on potholes, ruts and offroad. That's really pathetic can cause a severe problem to the body. The rear tyre is also thin and break shoes doesn't lasts longer. Now the servicing, they are really royal depend on you, they don't repair they simply replace and gives the bill to you. Cause you are now the royal member.Pros:1.You have a royal enfield in it his price.2. It is good looking and comfortable.3. Mileage is super in bs4 really approx 35kmpl in all conditions.Cons:1. You have now royal expenses @ servicing and maintenance.2. Braking is poor and rear shock gives jerk to pillion. Really painful and severe.3. Aha! don't change the silencer guys law is really strict now. Thank you for reading.
