Got mileage of | 23 kmpl |
1- Buying Experience - In the excitement of buying the bike, I booked from two locations i.e. Raja Garden and Jhandewalan, I was told to wait for 4-5 months at both locations though people at Raja Garden deceived by saying something different over the call and changing statements when met in person. I ignored it all just for the excitement of buying the bike despite not being provided the test ride. 2- Riding Exp: Well for obvious reasons, I could not revi it to the full during the engine breaking time i.e up to 500 Km/first service and it heated like anything. It felt as if I am sitting on a furnace until the first service. The first-time Cafe Racer rider will take up to 2-3 weeks to adapt to its nature (Committed posture) and in the first few weeks, you'll kind of re-evaluate your decision of buying this particular bike :P Man... those were some hard weeks, you name the body part and it was paining.. be it wrists, back, hands, neck, shoulder.. everything pained and it felt more of a punishment rather than an enjoyable bike ride. But when you get used to it, you'll love every bit of it. You gotta have it for weeks/months to decide whether it's a comfortable bike or not and it is one of the reason why many YouTubers or rather bike reviewers says that it is not a comfortable bike. After the first service, you'll feel the power it possesses and how fun and fast it can leave others behind while being a calm-looking cute little motorcycle. You can ride it both ways a hooligan or a gentleman in his suit. 3- Looks and performance- Need I say anything? Nah, GT 650 is pure love in terms of looks and it will always be. I chose the originally launched Rocker Red color and it looks stunning, obviously, the Mr. Clean is surely a head turner but paying an extra 32K for just that piece of Tank is non-sense. Go get it wrapped or buy a Chrome Tank for 11-12K :P The performance is a bit diluted and tamed for the low end. The sweet spot is mid and high-end. So beginners won't feel the difficulty in adapting to the power provided you're not twisting the throttle hard.4- Servicing and maintenance- There is so much going on for the electricals and ECU, so you better get that extended warranty with it since those sensors and units cost a bomb. Servicing costs are about 3.5K when the oil change service is done which includes the oil filter etc. The service period is 10K followed by general look-up and top-up service at 5K intervals. so, all in all, it is equivalent to the smaller segment RE's 350s.5- Pros - Looks, reliable engine, VFM, legacy.Cons- frequent refueling (should have had larger fuel tank considering its mileage), lack of accurate fuel gauge (current one works weirdly and cannot be relied on), least add one Instrument Console from Hunter (Gear Position, Clock, etc) while maintaining the retro look.

Recently bought a 650 which was my dream bike...the service provided to me was excellent and as the re 650 is a cafe racer bike its sitting posture is somehow not comfortable for long rides and its instrument cluster is not very good it gives us a vintage vibe which seems to be old...and maintenance cost it not that much...it's overall excellent bike...

GT Continental 650 is the best cafe racer bike in this segment. The sound of this bike is so good and you will obviously love this bike. It has been my dream to have this bike since I have seen this bike. This is just a dream of many youngsters to have this giant in their home. GT Continental is very comfortable and a little bit heavy.

Less mileage & less top speed, hand bubbling if speed more than 140 km/ph Service cost is too high Not for middle-class families only price sate to attract mid-economic status people Break pads are less efficient Back break pads need to change every 5000 to 6000 km If you ride & break F60/B40Low-quality brake pads or more friction in that

I love this bike because of its beautiful design, color and its powerful engine. Its weight balance is very good. Its pickup time is mind-blowing. Its dual disc brakes are very powerful. Its mileage average is 8-13 kmpl depending upon the roads. This bike never disappoints you in any rough situation. Its weight is some high so some problems will happen... Overall nice bike go for it.
