Taking delivery of my Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 felt like a ceremonial affair. The dealership spared no effort in making the moment memorable, with the bike gleaming under a spotlight as I received the keys amidst applause and cheers from the staff.
Despite its aggressive stance, the Continental GT 650 surprisingly offers a comfortable riding position. The slightly rear-set footpegs and low clip-on handlebars ensure a sporty yet ergonomic setup, perfect for spirited rides or long-distance cruising. The seat, though firm, provides adequate support for extended journeys.
Powering the Continental GT 650 is a 648cc parallel-twin engine that delivers ample torque across the rev range. The bike accelerates smoothly, with a linear power delivery that makes it enjoyable both in city traffic and on the open road. The six-speed gearbox shifts crisply, allowing for seamless gear changes. The exhaust note of the Continental GT 650 is music to the ears. The throaty rumble of the parallel-twin engine, combined with the signature Royal Enfield thump, adds to the overall experience of riding this classic machine.
The servicing experience of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a mix of highs and lows, largely dependent on dealership quality and service standards. Many owners have reported positive experiences with authorized service centers, praising the professionalism of the staff and the timely completion of tasks. Routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and general check-ups, is typically smooth and hassle-free.
there have been instances where owners encountered issues with inconsistent service quality, delays in parts availability, and subpar workmanship. These concerns are often attributed to dealership-specific factors rather than inherent flaws in the motorcycle itself. Therefore, it's advisable for owners to choose reputable service centers with a track record of reliability.
    Maintenance Requirements:
1 The recommended interval for oil changes is typically every 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers, depending on riding conditions.
2 Chain Maintenance: Proper chain maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and tension adjustment, is crucial for smooth power transmission and extended chain life.

Buying is a bit higher as compared to a bike, but riding is so powerful still a bit less comfortable and more powerful. The engine is well furnished, looks big, and the exhaust is also a little loud, service depends on your city and it costs a little high, and spare parts are also for average people, the instrument cluster looks retro more than alright.

It is really a powerful machine to ride. Though sitting posture is not comfortable for longer rides. Good acceleration, It helps in overtaking other vehicles. If you purchase it, do change its oil at any time. It is good good-looking bike. It will give you mileage around 25kmpl. This bike provides value for money.

The Continental GT 650 has a classic café racer design, characterized by its elongated fuel tank, low-set clip-on handlebars, and a single-seat setup. The overall aesthetic is reminiscent of the cafe racer motorcycles of the 1960s but with modern touches like LED lighting and digital instrumentation. Powering the Continental GT 650 is a 648cc, air-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This engine is known for its smooth power delivery and ample low-end torque, making it suitable for both city commuting and highway cruising. It produces around 47 horsepower and 52 Nm of torque, providing enough oomph for spirited riding. Despite its classic styling, the Continental GT 650 offers a spirited riding experience. The engine delivers smooth acceleration, and the bike feels stable and planted at higher speeds. The chassis and suspension are well-tuned, providing a balance between agility and comfort. With its sporty riding position, nimble chassis, and responsive handling, the Continental GT 650 is a joy to ride on twisty roads. The low-set handlebars and rear-set footpegs encourage a more aggressive riding stance, allowing riders to confidently lean into corners. While the Continental GT 650 excels in performance and handling, it may not be the most comfortable motorcycle for long rides. The aggressive riding position can put a strain on the wrists and lower back, especially during extended periods in the saddle. However, for shorter rides and spirited outings, the ergonomics are well-suited. Royal Enfield has improved its build quality over the years, and the Continental GT 650 reflects this progress. The fit and finish are generally good, with attention to detail in design elements like the sculpted fuel tank and the retro-style instrumentation. One of the highlights of the Continental GT 650 is its customization potential. Royal Enfield offers a range of official accessories and aftermarket parts, allowing riders to personalize their bikes to suit their tastes. From cafe racer-inspired fairings to performance exhaust systems, there are plenty of options available to make the bike unique. Overall, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a stylish and capable motorcycle that pays homage to the cafe racer heritage while offering modern performance and reliability. It may not be the most practical choice for long-distance touring, but for riders who prioritize style and fun, it's hard to beat.

The chain is a crucial component of your bike's drivetrain, so it's essential to keep it properly lubricated and tensioned. Clean the chain regularly with a chain brush and solvent to remove dirt and grime, then lubricate it with a suitable chain lubricant. Check the chain tension periodically and adjust it as needed to prevent excessive wear and improve performance.

First I decided to buy Enfield 350 classic because every one was crazy about that bike in our city but when I visited the showroom to purchase I saw a new bullet model launched there and I was amazed. By bike looks I decided to take a test ride of that bike and I was amazed. It was light, fast, and had great mileage.
Then I decided to buy GT 650 and I was right with my decision. It is in great shape after 11 months and
has great mileage and great performance on road. Best enfield bike to be launched till now.

I tried my maternal uncle's bike, This bike packs a punch with its 650cc engine. It has an aggressive riding position not great for longer journeys. Its smooth, powerful engine offers good pickup. While not the most fuel-efficient, you can expect around 20-30 kmpl depending on riding style. The suspension is decent, but some riders find it a bit stiff on rough roads. Royal Enfield has a wide service network, It also has standard safety features like ABS.

Tips for Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
One essential maintenance tip for GT 650 owners, or any motorcycle riders, is to regularly check tyre pressure and tread wear. Proper tyre maintenance not only ensures safety but also enhances handling and fuel efficiency. Inspect the tyres before each ride and adjust the pressure according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

  • How I change my mind
