The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a perfect blend of retro charm and modern engineering. Powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin engine, the Continental GT 650 delivers a smooth and refined performance with around 47 bhp. The engine is not overly aggressive, making it suitable for both city rides and spirited highway cruising. The mileage is reasonable given the bike’s performance and character. The seat is reasonably comfortable for short to medium rides. However, long-distance touring might require frequent breaks due to its more aggressive riding posture.

Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Review
The Continental GT 650 offers a perfect blend of retro café racer styling and modern performance. Its 648cc twin-engine delivers a smooth 47.65 bhp, with linear power that's ideal for both city rides and highway cruising. The aggressive riding position suits spirited rides, while the chassis handles well, although long rides may feel uncomfortable due to the committed posture.
Equipped with disc brakes and dual-channel ABS, it ensures confident braking. The suspension feels slightly stiff, but overall ride quality is solid. With fuel efficiency of around 22-25 km/l, it balances performance with affordability. The GT 650 stands out for its style and price, though it lacks some modern features.
    Pros:
    Classic design
    Smooth engine
    Strong brakes
    Cons:
    Aggressive riding posture
    Stiff suspension over bumps

Buying this bike is another level of happiness as it's not a cruiser or sports bike, it's a cafe racer and a 650 cc bike with twin parallel engines with the best performance. Riding the bike gives you confidence and boosts your adrenaline service and maintenance are a little pricy as it's 650, but it's worth it.

  • Powerful yet torquey

I got the GT 650 British racing green after 1 month of booking. The bike was super smooth and very torquey like a diesel. Despite the heaviness, the bike is amazing to ride. In terms of looks, The bike is a head-turner, we get that big bike feeling. Service cost is a bit costlier. But looking at a 650 cc bike, it's very cheap and also service interval is between 10,000 kms. Every 5000 km is only for cleaning, checkups & top-ups. powerful yet torquey engine is the main thing I love in this bike. Engine heat in city traffic is a major disadvantage. You should be very careful while twisting the throttle, not because of the power, but the fuel efficiency. it becomes very less when ridden with good throttle. The harder the throttle lesser the fuel in the tank. Also, the fuel gauge is the most hated thing in this bike. Very very inaccurate. But overall, Only love the bike.

  • The Continental GT 650 has excellent build quality

My dream bike was a Royal Enfield
Continental GT 650, which I paid for with my first paycheck. This bike doesn't let me down as a fan of its sporty appearance and performance. Smooth power delivery along with an exciting ride are features of the 648cc parallel-twin engine. My passion for sports design is well matched by the café racer's aggressive posture and elegant lines. For its classic appeal and cutting-edge performance, I went with the Continental GT 650. It turns heads because of the vivid color choices, particularly the Rocker Red. For
riders like myself who value both flair and substance, the GT 650's excellent
construction quality and strong performance set it apart from other bikes in its class.

  • Extremely Poor Quality Parts on Royal Enfield GT Continental 350

    Manikanata A R

I bought a brand new Royal Enfield GT Continental 350 just two and a half months ago, and my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. The bike feels sturdy and classic at first glance, but the quality of the parts is appalling.
Within a short period, I encountered a significant design flaw. If for any reason the rider or passenger struggles to balance the bike and it leans over, even slightly, the clutch lever or brake lever will touch the ground. This has happened to me twice already, and both times the levers snapped in half. And guess what? Replacing these poorly made levers will set you back by ₹7,000 each time!
This is unacceptable from a company that prides itself on craftsmanship and durability. If basic parts like the levers are this fragile, what else can we expect? Definitely not the quality I expected from Royal Enfield. Be prepared to shell out a lot of money for repairs if you're considering this bike.

    Saikat Biswas
