When i first bought the bike,i was not much impressed with the looks of the bike. But i loved the it performed on the road specially when the road is bumpy. It performed a far way better off road. There was some heating issues with the engine while riding in city traffic. The sitting position of the bike is comfortable for long rides. The bike is having some worst battery issues due to which i have to go the showroom more frequently to get it repaired. It would be better if royal enfield has provided kick-start option for the bike because of the battery issues. Even if i want to replace my battery proper battery is not available with the showroom guys. So i need to visit the showroom more frequently to get my battery charged. The immediately discharges when we switch on the headlight. The spare parts for the bike are also not available at the showroom. So i would suggest the users to check these issues and buy a himalayan.

  • Himalayan 400 a power bomb from royal enfield

    Abhinav Pant

As we know himalayan 400 a newly launched model of royal enfield is a very powerful bike...It's totally different bike from other models like royal enfield classic 350 and r.E 500..Main features of himalayan 400-engine is exact 411 cc-total bhp (brake horse power) is 24.5-torque is 32 nm-5 gears-rear monoshock shock absorber like ktm and fz. It's a fully adventure bike but also a commuter bike it is fast bike my top speed in this bike is about 142 kmpl which is very good in this segment..More power than r.E 350 More c.C engine and more b.H.P so more powerful feeling...When you ride in hills like himanchal or uttrakhand then you will feel the real power of bike.. I covered whole uttrakhand not faced single problem .....And tyres are like dirt bike so very good in every condition ...Only royal enfield himalayan is available in 1.90 lkh on road price in adventure bike segments...It's a unique bike eye-catching.. Go for it good bike....If brand from royal enfield....And no bike brand can defeat royal enfield in brand value and customer satisfaction also in resale value..... On road price is 1.93 around in lucknow.

  • Awesome mad max machine

Amazing motorcycle for adventurous rides. The comfort level of this motorcycle is unbelievable, which you can never get in any other motorcycle in this price range. This bike lets you welcome bad roads, potholes, gravel and whatever.Lower and mid range thump is very good. This bike is purely built for adventure rides and not for racing or cornering. If you are looking for a bike for racing or cornering, please stay away from this machine and don't blame the bike for your wrong decision.Cruising speed is around 80 to 100kmph.Cruising above 100kmph for a long stretch is not good for the engine. Top speed is around 135kmph.Mileage is between 30 to 35 kmpl.Overall this bike is made for relaxed riding both on highways and on off roads. If you are okay with all the above conditions ...just buy this damn mad max machine.

  • Feels like big bike

    Soumyajit Ghosh

The buying experience was just normal, nothing overwhelming. Waited for four months after booking my himalayan. I have ridden over 20000 kilometers and it always put a smile on my face. Himalayan has its own charm, it's a conversation starter. I have taken my Himalayan to the mountains to the beach to the plateau, cruised on highways, ridden on dusty roads, and muddy roads, and ridden on rains, it has never disappointed me. It definitely feels like a big bike. The seat is cushiony. The suspension and shockers both are soft but accurate when riding at 100+kmph. The handlebar is wide and it helps to maintain good posture so that you can ride long without breaking. The engine can run all day long without any issues. The road presence of this bike is superb. You can do an unlimited number of modifications. I named my bike pokkhiraaj. Maintenance is a big part of a bike of its size. There are some parts from re which are never any good and even the service center guys accept that. The bike never looks old. About the cons of Himalayan - the cone set or the ball racer will definitely be going to be damaged pretty soon. I've switched to the ntn bearing for the cone set and it's 10 times better than re. The stock ceat tyres are useless. I had ridden over 11500 km on the stock and received at least 3 punctures avg on every 1000 kms. Currently using the mrf mogrip and it's much much better, with no puncture till now. On a long trip, the bike definitely wants the tubeless spoke wheels and the rider feels the need for it but eventually it'll add more cost.

  • The battery consumer!

    Akhilesh Burra
