Guys after waiting for many months, finally i get the bike(interceptor 650), i ride it for 1 day and the next day the bike has issues with its front rim etc, avinash from the service center makes me wait for hours and then tells me there is a problem and the part needs to be changed and it has been 5 days now and they still say no parts available, none of them are updated with the bike, the store (indiranagar) manager calls me from whitefield telling me he will give me a himalayan for a few days as standby but after i arrive he says there is no bike available. This is the worse after sales experience.. None of them are helpful and aligned with what each one of them says .. Buy the bike but guys at your own risk.. They will push for sales but have 0 service after.. I wish to just ask them to keep the bike for them self and want it no more.. Such a big torture .. Value of buying this bike is dead because of their knowledge and the way they treat you. Terrible experience and i dread what i am going to face with them if i continue to keep the bike.. Horrifying experience.

Beta product int 650

As for as buying experience my first int 650 was taken delivery on 01.01.2019 with only insurance done. Next day it created abnormal engine noise i told it to the dealer & they contacted the re plant . Engineers examine and said we will allot on other bike. Then in February i got the on other int 650. Interceptor is very good in performance. Good braking. Driving position is good. Standard seat is hard for long drives.Pillion seating is not comfortable because of elevated foot pegs. Heating is little bit in high city driving conditions. Suspension is bouncy making thud noise in little bad & very bad roads . Suspension is very good in highways. Interceptor is definitely not a zero vibration bike. It is creating vibration in foot peg areas , side of the fuel tank & minor development started in handle bar area. Fuel gauge is improper/inaccurate it shows error reading we have to manually check by opening the tank. Engine rpm some times improper in idling glides up & down.Heating in engine is tolerable it bakes our leg. In highways also. Latest happenings in my int 650 i had problem in t-stem i took it to the service center they replaced with , new t-stem , front struts , front rim , abnormal engine noise was prevailing in my int 650 all 8 engine values changed on warranty . Still excessive engine noise is in my bike & bonus whistle sound intolerable. I have again informed the re service. They assured to sort it out. The int 650 is still a beta product . We should go to mediation course to control our patience. But riding pleasure is good. I have crossed 4700 km only.

The royal enfield i was waiting for.

This bike literally has no competition, right now and most probably for a long time to come. The nearest parallels twin is the ninja 300 @50k more and it makes way less power and torque compared to this the engine on this machine is a gem, unlike any other royal enfield i have ridden , there is absolutely no vibrations up until the redline. There is plenty of torque on offer and always you are riding this torque wave making city cruising effortless. A weight of 200kg seems to disappear once you get on the move.An average mileage of 25 kmpl seem adequate considering the power and torque figures. The suspension is on the softer side at the back and a bit firm up front. This bad boy can cruise all day at 120kmph and reach 165 kmph easily. The bike offers dual channel abs as standard, the brakes offer good feedback and bite almost matching the g310r. The build quality on this machine is excellent in another class of all the enfield out there. I can't comment on the pricing , it just insane value for money. Maybe a usd for at front ,some tubeless tires, brakes with better bite would have been nice ,but at this price whose complaining. The lack of proper instrumentation like gear position indicator, trip meter etc seems to be a let down. Overall this is winner right from the start.

The bike is good for riding but almost most of the days' bike was in showroom due to lots of complaints. I owned this machine for 3 years and I had changed the fuel pump, back shock absorber - 2 times, petrol tank due to rusting inside, consent and bearing 2 times, relays, and meter console. The interesting fact is the showroom people can't even identify the issues and they were simply switching things. Within 10k km all these issues I had faced and I am fed up going to their showroom and most of the things are out of stock and I had to keep my bike there for months. After my third year, I came to extend the warranty and they were not ready to extend it saying I have not completed my third service then I showed them the bill they gave me for the third service but they were not ready to extend the warranty saying it's not updated in their computer. So I sold this bike for less than the market price. This was my first RE bike and I will never buy an RE bike anymore due to bad after-service and worst quality. Avoid RE because their main source of income is not from selling bikes but from the no of times that we go to the showroom for their bike repairs.

The riding experience is one of the best. I had decided to buy a KTM 390 and took the test ride and loved KTM. But since I am not a bullet person (for its weight), I had not considered interceptor. Since the re showroom was on the same road as KTM (Indiranagar, Bangalore), thought will give interceptor also a try. Once I sat on the bike and the sound of the engine from the exhausts was alluring enough. I immediately bought it which was delivered in 2 days. And since then, have loved the beast. It throws its weight around and thrills every bone in the body with its utter power. No wonder the bikes are being sold like hot cakes and people are forming interceptor communities on social media. For highway riding also up to a speed of 130kmph, its a delight to ride. And in city riding, which I bought it for, its hot. Literally hot. After we clock 1000kms, the engine feels lot cooler and manageable since its a 650cc bike. To ride this bike, one must be an expert at riding 2 wheelers. This cant be your first bike. But one of the last ones in your collection of bikes over lifetime

1. Dealers were good enough to clear every query we had and also finance was of attractive interest.2. Excellent for long rides, as a city commuter it does well. Except for the long-time seating.3. Retro look just attracted me and the performance is great there is no way to worry about speeding. 4. In the segment of 600+cc interceptor has quite affordable maintenance. General servicing is for 5k kms after the first service which will cost around 2.5k ₹5. Pros: great tourer, attractive looks, easily understandable instrument cluster.Cons: seat is not good for long rides, and weight will be a burden when moving the vehicle.

Scan the bike by the time of delivery and if required complain to customer care and get parts replaced no matter how big or small is the issue. Do not over speed until the gear teeth/piston are set properly. Use single-handled till the first service. Get the best crash guard, sump guard, and radiator guard. Clean the chain after each ride and regularly during rainy and apply lubricant.

I took this bike after reading a lot of review both in India and the rest of the world. And i found it be convincing enough to take a test ride .I came from a 200 cc bike . And i found it to be a better controllable machine than the 200 cc that i was using. And i booked finally at re showroom at bangalore kalyan nagar. I can say this bike is brilliant. I have started using it very recently and found it very easy to ride in city. To me it reminded my old classic yamaha rx style tank and handle bar. The torque is exceptional. I am in break in period and haven't crossed 4000 rpm but still am feeling the power is adequate to take lead than the average vehicles (car or bike). I am wondering how much of power is still to be squeezed beyond 4 k to 7 k rpm. To my surprise , the fuel efficiency has touched 27 kmpl in city for 4000 rpm and below. That is just 2 kmpl lesser than my 200 cc previous bike. The torque really has helped it to be a good fuel efficient bike. The braking is adequate. The noises are right. The feeling is good. Everything seems right about this bike.

It has a mileage of 15.75 km/l for a constant speed of 130 km/h and 28.1 km/l for a constant speed of 80 km/h and it has a top speed of 170km/h . Unlike other re it has a vibration free experience and can keep it's cool .It has a very good riding position and the engine is really smooth its slipper clutch makes the shifting of gear easy.

0 to 100 in 5 seconds. No vibration, and excellent for long-distance with good control off-road and as well as on the road. 650 cc gives good speed on highways. I will recommend this who want to go for long drives with comfortable seating and uninterrupted ride with a good service network of Royal enfield.. Trusted brand.

Tips for other riders

Terrible experience
