Hi. Reviewers. This is happy to share that received the interceptor 650 baker express in good in sales category. The vehicle is a machine where it delivers the good power and riding experience. Stylish and energetic performance leads to good riding. I am travelling daily around 140 km per day. The silencer noise is amazing in delivering it. The mileage is noted of 26 km/per litre where it twins given it. More reviews says that the bla bla bla... But real guide is experience the vehicle. Such a good product in indian streets. Moreover re should care about the rear seat passenger. The foot pegs needed to be there if the family is going out. Compare to another cc vehicle i purely say that re twins interceptor 650 is good vehicle. I can able to demand and debate with anyone who challenge with me.

Best in class if we compare it to other 650 cc segment, pocket friendly
Classic retro look and performance and pickup is like time traveling. Vroom it’s been 1 year I am riding this machine. I took it for touring as well Almost covered 9k km on this. Words are not enough to explain. No other Indian made bike can cross you and it’s a beast with no experience.

  • Reliable machine with good performance and mileage

    Abhyudaya Sinh

My interceptor 650 bs4 (orange crush)is giving me a healthy mileage of 32-33 km/litre on highway when I am cruising at constant speed of 80-85 km/hour.
While, in city mileage is somewhere from around 22-24 km/litre.
1)all in all it's a very reliable machine and I personally find it most stable at speeds of 120-130 km/h.
Though you start to experience heavy wind blast when you cross 100 km/h mark.
2)ergonomics are excellent for 6 feet tall guy (you will get a urge to stretch your legs once in every 2 hours of continuous riding). Also seat is quite narrow but still manageable, if you are on little bit skinny side.
    3) front foot pegs were placed at little awkward position but after sometime you will get familiar with them and you will stop scraping your legs with them.
    4) stock exhaust sound is melodious. Once engine get warmed up, rumbling sound of exhaust will become more and more heavier and louder to the point that it will give you eargasm (trust me its that melodious when you ride it at correct rpms ).
    5) tyre grip is good giving loads of confidence at corners.
also, digital fuel gauge sometimes act erratically.

The bike is for the feelers ,the classics and the who want a balance of show and go..excellent response from engine and clutch...clutch feels a tad bit heavy tho...looks an absolute charm...with the baker express paint scheme.easily hits cruising speeds...

  • Inty 650 - an amazing bike

    Shibu Thomas Zachariah

The int 650 is an amazing bike and i love every minute of riding it. After my experience of owning a himalayan (bs iii first edition) which was a lemon. I promised myself that i am never ever going with an Indian manufacturer of bikes and even cars however rosy it may look on the outside. This changed (not for cars though) the moment i test-drove an interceptor for the fun of it. The color variant (ravishing red) i wanted was available off-the-shelf and didn't think twice before i bought one. My daily drive to the office and back totaling approximately 70kms was amazing and i simply didn't want to get off the bike at the end of the ride. In fact, traveling to the office became a pleasure for me because i could drive this amazing bike. The looks are top notch and the performance from day one was excellent. The build quality is excellent and the company really spent time reviewing and testing before commercial production. There are no worries of nuts and bolts falling off due to vibrations. Heating was a challenge till the first service post which it reduced or maybe i got used to it. But then this is a 650cc bike some heating will be there. At 6'0 feet and 110kg this bike was perfectly suited for me as the added weight gave more stability at high speeds. Excellent low-end torque means you can pull out of traffic with ease. The engine is extremely refined and the clutch is butter smooth to shift. The bike wants you to push it and it will take it. Heavy as it is at 202 kgs it's not easy to maneuver in traffic but on the highways, it comes into its own and you will feel you are driving a car. Unless you look at the speedo and get that wind blast you will not know the speed which can easily cross 100 kms. I have had no problems with service and i diligently get it serviced every 5 - 6000 kms though the company says 10,000 kms is enough. Maintenance of the sprocket and chain every 500 - 600 kms is a must for long life. The sweet spot is the exhaust. Post crossing around 3500 - 4000 kms the exhaust developed a grunt that is music to my ears and have not needed to replace it with aftermarket ones. The rearview mirrors are usable even at speeds above 100 kms as there are zero vibrations from the engine. Now the cons: the stock seat is one big issue and i got it replaced with an aftermarket one even before the first service. Stock headlights are decent but I got it replaced with after-market led headlights and blinkers, and installed hazard lights too. Stock pirelli (bs iii version) was good and comfortable but not too many after-market options are available for 18" inchers. I have found the brakes to be decent and abs works too but not enough bite. Would have been good if it was a switchable abs but then there are workarounds. Shocks are on the firmer side and bad roads will give you a jarring ride but not enough to impact your back. Being heavy, the bike is not conducive for short rides to your neighborhood stores (wasn't meant for it anyways !). Pillion riders especially the taller ones will keep cribbing as it is really uncomfortable riding posture. Make sure pillion riders keep their feet on the footpegs only as the exhaust is only an inch or so below and its extremely hot and can easily scorch their feet or leg. Removing is easy but refitting the rear tyre is not that simple in case of a puncture. Alloy wheels would have been good but i guess given the weight and riding mechanics spokes are better suited for this bike.
The bike is extremely stable and if your riding posture is right pothole or not - you will land on your feet (wheels ) every time. There are hundreds of after-market accessories for the 650 twins that depending on your tastes you can modify/upgrade.
Those planning on buying the interceptor need not think twice. This bike will give you an experience you will not regret. Btw ....I have been riding bikes for 35+ years now starting with the yezdi (the original one).

Riding High on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
I have been cruising the roads on my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 for a good few months now and it has been a thrilling journey! With a robust 648cc parallel twin engine, it effortlessly delivers about 47 horsepower and 52 Nm of torque makes every ride smooth and powerful. The 6 speed gearbox with its slip assist clutch allows for seamless gear transitions, enhancing the ride experience. What really stands out is its retro charm combined with modern performance. The dual cradle frame design is not only sturdy but also ensures stable handling at high speeds.

First service down in about 3 hours, after cooling down the bike for about an hour. Oil change done, oil filter too and the torqued every nut/ bolt the mechanic could see or reach. Average in city improved by 1. From 23kmpl to 24. So much for that. Highway riding remains restricted to Ghatkopar-Thane- what joy that is. So apart from the cost of the service - INR 2600, there doesn't seem to be any difference in the running of the bike. It's still smooth. The next oil change will be at 5000, followed by 10,000 and the. Direct 20,000km.

I would say plenty of things about THE ROYAL ENFIELD INTERCEPTOR 650
I love the way it performs on streets and long drives especially when it comes to handling corners is on point.
I haven't owned this vehicle, but I've driven quite a long drive with my buddies
The throttle response makes me shiver through my bones I'm in love with this beast !! Someday I'm gonna own this.
Speaking of comfortably I have no complaints I've driven around 400 km nonstop with no back pain the seating posture is so good.
It has some heating issues of course it's 650 CC what can you expect from the hot beast ( but the company should improve with oil cooling radiators )
One thing left to say buy it without hesitation if you are a long-drive drive enthusiastic person who performs very well in all terrains. I recommend it.

Fell in love with the bike on the very first ride. I was never a royal enfield fan because of the kind of vibrations and feel it gave. But after riding interceptor i was totally impressed. The bike is so refined, smooth and punchy. Although the bike is on heavier side , you can easily take it over city traffic and maneuver in cities. Couldn't wait to get my hands on the machine.

  • Awesome bike

    Manjunath Mandrekar

I was using royal enfield classic 500 for almost five years. When i first heard about this bike i was surprised by the positive reviews that this bike was getting, without wasting any time i booked it.It took almost three months to get the delivery but for me this three months were like three years. Delivery process was smooth. My first impression was awesome, bike was looking awesome (ravishing red) when i gently opened the throttle i was surprised by the power delivery, it butter smooth.By the time i was out of the city i was already in love with my new bike, it much much better than my 500. I used to ride my 500 occasionally, i was using car for going to court for last 8 years but from the day of purchase this bike till date i am using it and i am very happy about it. Now i don't feel like driving my car. This is one of the best bike manufactured by royal enfield india. What i like about interceptor :1. Engine : it is butter smooth, there is hardly any vibration. 2. Performance : all the power is at your disposal at all times. There is no need to push it very hard, it simply cut through the traffic effortlessly. Acceleration is amazing. I have done 140 kmph without any fuss. 3. Looks: i like old bikes but prefer modern technology. This fits my requirements perfectly. 4. Price : nothing come close to it 5. Ride : i like the way it handles considering its weight. I simply love the way it handles. 6. Service : so far i had good experience let's hope to have great experience in future. 7. Sales : normally sales guys are good only at the time of selling their products but i'm glad to say that till date whenever i visit royal enfield dealership in panjim they are as hospitable as they were when i booked my bike. 8. Economy : i get decent 22 kmpl, Things i don't like :1. Weight, when you are parking it. 2. Heating to some extent 3. No tubeless tyres Note: i still love it I am not interested in rewards, if something is good or bad one must make a point to share their experience in order to help others to take right decision.

I waited for 4.5 months before laying my hands on the INT 650, decent service and buying experience
The bike is for the feelers ,the classics and the who want a balance of show and go..excellent response from engine and clutch...clutch feels a tad bit heavy tho...looks an absolute charm...with the baker express paint scheme.easily hits cruising speeds...
RE have tried to keep it simple and have succeeded..not many techie bits ,tho a gear indicator would've been nice..decent beginner bike .
one you would cherish for years and will want to pass it down to your children.
