    I had an eye on this Motorcycle for over 15 years now. I knew Royal Enfield would eventually make a twin-cylinder motorcycle back in the early 2010s based on their existing yet discontinued 1970s 750ccs.
    Purchased this bike back in 2020 the 2nd batch. We were mostly the lab rats for an ambitious launch from RE. I purchased this bike for 2,99,999 Which was a stellar deal for a 270-degree parallel 650cc engine. Eventually, faced issues with the speedometer and RR Unit which was rectified free of cost from RE. I see that that RE has addressed the RR Unit placement, and other electrical issues as of 2024.
    I have clocked about 37,500km now, and although the motorcycle has its share of flaws it's probably the best motorcycle you can purchase for the price (If you are into Parallel twins). It has a beautiful community from the UK, Australia, and Thailand where people connect and help each other better the ride experience, performance, or any issues.
    The Motorcycle has a brilliant Engine which which can be extended up to 899cc. (My Broke Behind is set for the next 10 years). Although the engine is restricted in its stock form, once you get the intake exhaust and AFR corrected. I am not even exaggerating that it will run like Japanese motorcycles.
    If you are someone who wants performance out of the box and does not want anything to do with the community, the technical aspects of a motorcycle. Has no interest in performance Upgrades and Dyno tuning it to your needs. Yes, there are other bikes for you. But if you are someone who likes the Godsend Sound of 270-degree cranked Parallel Twins, the community and not afraid to get your hands dirty once in a while to improve your riding quality. This is a bike for you.
    Regardless of who will sell a 650CC parallel twin Motorcycle make sure that you do not have to Break the Bank.

    Bought the bike in 2020 and it's been a blast these last 30k km. I not only ride it in the city to go to the office and go for weekend rides but have also traveled to Tarkarli and Goa from Mumbai. Service costs and consumables are reasonable. Very comfortable bike and hasn't given me any issues as such.
    The only grouse I have with my bike is that the suspension isn't the best for the degrading roads of our country but not sure if I should blame the bike or the government for that.
    The changes I have made are -
    Handlebar riser
    RE touring seat for Interceptor
    Pillion leg rest extender
    Don't think I need to upgrade my bike to a new one as Royal Enfields are extremely customizable and some people are doing amazing things...so let's see where my biking journey takes me.

  • Interceptor is a straightforward bike

    2 weeks ago

    I have been part of the Royal Enfield family for more than 20 years. Earlier I had Thunderbird and now it's been more than 5 years with Interceptor. Interceptor is a straightforward bike. It is easy to handle, has minimal maintenance issues, and its pickup is among the best.
    The mileage is a bit less. It's in the 20s but I don't have any complaints regarding that
    The company-fitted seat is ok but you can get that upgraded by replacing it with Royal Enfield's custom seats. Those are great.
    To summarize, it's a great bike for every season and every road. Either you ride in the city or go for a long ride.

    The way it rides man you will fall in love with it. Might be heavy for new users but you get used to it. The engine just gets hot so fast but that's because of the 650cc engine. The weight balance is also great and one loves to ride it. The smoothness and the power are just great I ride it safe at 80-85 but as a new rider, one can push to 150 easily.

    The buying experience was good, not much hassle. Coming to the riding pleasure, it stands out in the power and smoothness segment. There is just enough power to stay engaged. The only issue is the seat, it's not that comfortable.
    The bike looks almost perfect as a retro motorcycle from all angles. Service is slightly costlier, especially the brake pads they are damn expensive.
    Pros- Good power, looks, and value for money.
    Cons- seat comfort and mileage

    I would say plenty of things about THE ROYAL ENFIELD INTERCEPTOR 650
    I love the way it performs on streets and long drives especially when it comes to handling corners is on point.
    I haven't owned this vehicle, but I've driven quite a long drive with my buddies
    The throttle response makes me shiver through my bones I'm in love with this beast !! Someday I'm gonna own this.
    Speaking of comfortably I have no complaints I've driven around 400 km nonstop with no back pain the seating posture is so good.
    It has some heating issues of course it's 650 CC what can you expect from the hot beast ( but the company should improve with oil cooling radiators )
    One thing left to say buy it without hesitation if you are a long-drive drive enthusiastic person who performs very well in all terrains. I recommend it.

    My journey with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 began with a seamless buying experience. The dealership was professional, making the process easy and enjoyable. Riding the Interceptor 650 was an immediate thrill. Its 648cc engine offered smooth, powerful performance, and the bike's retro design turned heads wherever I went.
    Performance-wise, the Interceptor excelled on highways and handled city rides with ease. The braking system was reliable, but the suspension felt stiff on rough roads, which was a slight downside on longer trips. Servicing was straightforward, with parts readily available, although maintaining the chrome fittings required extra care.
    The bike's pros included its powerful engine, smooth handling, and classic looks. It was versatile enough for both city commutes and long tours. On the downside, the suspension's stiffness on uneven roads and the bike's weight could be challenging for some riders.
    Overall, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 delivered an exhilarating riding experience with a few minor drawbacks, making it a worthy addition for any motorcycle enthusiast.
    Positive Points:
    $ Powerful engine
    $ Smooth handling
    $ Classic, head-turning design
    $ Versatile for city and long-distance rides
    Negative Points:
    $ Stiff suspension on rough roads
    $ Heavy weight can be challenging for some riders
    $ Extra care needed for chrome fittings

  • Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

    1 week ago

    Varun Vishwanath

    2 weeks ago

    Arshdeep

    Bhavesh Patel

    $ Powerful engine
    $ Smooth handling
    $ Classic, head-turning design
    $ Versatile for city and long-distance rides
    Negative Points:
    $ Stiff suspension on rough roads
    $ Heavy weight can be challenging for some riders
    $ Extra care needed for chrome fittings

  • A Gem of an Engine at a Stellar Price.

    2 days ago

    Chethan Kumar
