The TVS Apache RTR 310 is the company’s flagship street naked motorcycle. This motorcycle is their most expensive naked bike yet and has been built on a platform that it co-developed with BMW.
This new TVS will be built around a steel trellis frame, similar to the RR 310, but the rear sub-frame differs. TVS has used the same 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor for the Apache RTR 310, as it does for the RR 310. The motor dishes out 35bhp at 9,700rpm and 28.7Nm at 6,650rpm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. It benefits from a slipper-and-assist clutch too. The claimed top speed is 150kmph.
The frame of the TVS Apache RTR 310 is suspended by USD front forks and a monoshock and both sides get adjustments for preload, compression, and rebound in the top-spec versions. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a single front disc and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The brakes are mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in dual compound radial tyres.
Along with full LED illumination, the new Apache gets a fully digital TFT with the ability to connect the GoPro. It comprises all the basic readouts like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level indicator, gear position indicator, and temperature, and gets smartphone connectivity as well. The latter gives the rider access to call and SMS notifications, as well as document storage and more.
In terms of rider aids, the Apache RTR 310 gets ABS, side stand cut-off, and ride modes. It also has a six-axis IMU unit to take care of cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and also cornering cruise control. The bike can also be equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring, bi-directional quickshifter, as well as a heated and cooled seat.
TVS is offering the RTR 310 in a total of three variants. There’s also the brand’s BTO (Built To Order) program to customise the bike. The new RTR 310 goes up against the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R.

Almost perfect bike with a setback.

The bike becomes uncomfortable for longer rides, and the cooling seat is no less than a trick to increase the price, once it hits higher speeds, it is unnoticeable. The pillion would feel the occasional jerks during the journey even in normal city driving. It is a comfortable naked sports bike, and the features available are justified for the price quoted.

RTR 310 has some space to improve, but not a bad choice

I got my RTR 310, on April 1 st week of 2024, after test riding Duke 250 and RTR 310 because only these two bike are closed in price segment, 390 is almocst 70k more that 310, so its not a valid comparison.Duke was good, power was linear, very smooth and agile in traffic, but some things seemed like a downgraded 390 like the LCD instrument, DRLsRTR 310 had more torque at the lower and mid revs, punchy than duke 250, eventhough Duke 250 design looks good than RTR, RTR felt more like a premium product, it also had more features when compared to Duke 250. the price difference with the quick shifter varient was around 12k, so i gone with the 310, it had vibrations as every one said, but i liked the torque of it, felt like an worthy upgrade from my previous bike .Delivery experience was very good......after around 600 kms, i went for a drive from 250 kms ride, in a Bumpy road, bike engine turned off and instrument cluster indicated a Engine failure warning, i stopped for a while and started it again engine started but the Engine warning was showing up in the console..after then i reached the destination, i went through some youtube videos and checked the O2 sensor connector near the pillion foot rest, it was loose, i firmly connected it again, the error was gone.... my assumptions are the Connector might have came loose as it was hanging from the top...did not have any issues till the first serviceduring the first service i explained this issue, they added a zip tie to the bottom connect as well, they did the regular service which costed me around 2.7k -- Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Drain Bolt washer, and collant top up,few days after 1st service, My quick shifter was not working, it was working only down shifts not on upshift and quickershifter option turns off randomly.gone to the service centre again with the complaint, after two days, the gave me the Bike with the quicker shifter replaced, it worked after ten no issuesafter 3000 kms another issue........ in my parking i found the coolant was leaking from my RTR, it was very little, i can see it only when it is parked for more than 2 days. i could have not noticed it if have not parked in any surface other than concrete. checked the coolant level, it was below the minimum mark, i suspect it was leaking from the beginning went to service centre again waiting for them to reply me back post you with the updates...
