    1. Buying experience - good support but I didn't get anything complimentary from orpi Yamaha and they didn't reduce the price. Actual on road Coimbatore cost is 139000 but due to demand they are charging 141109/- on road and 3000 extra for accessories which include seat cover, tank cover, bumper, side footrest and indicator buzzer other than these we have to pay for everything and for extended warranty 777/- so overall buying experience is average only cause I didn't get anything complimentary worth 3000 Rs and extra 2000 Rs in RTO charges. Quite disappointing with the price because normal fz will cost around 123000 on road but this is 145000 on road.
2.Riding quality- same as fz but throttle response is different riding comfort & riding quality is superb.
3.Performance - the least powered bike in this price segment and I like the way they have designed the tank and headlights but the issue is tank capacity which is only 10 litres and you have quite larger turning radius. Atleast they could have given a 155c or new 200cc engine. But its okay for daily commuting and you will get a better mileage.
    4. I have not yet given for first service after a month. I will update regarding this. Heard Yamaha spares are quite costly compared to other brands but its okay as they don't provide cheap spares. I trust in Yamaha.
    5. Pros - Design, mostly metal build, riding quality and comfort
cons - price is the main con of this bike other than that I cant find any disappointments

  • Unique premium bike don't compare with xsr

    Deepak

Most have rated and reviewed negatively by just watching in videos and pictures but actually when you watch it live/physically it is impressively good with premium quality. Those who are waiting for xsr 155 have rated and reviewed as low without even test ride or physical appearance.
    Pros:
    Awesome design, unique in segment
Retro style in combined with scrambler look
    Daily cruiser
Low and medium performance are excellent
    Reliable, refined, assured engine
    With usb and bluetooth connectivity
    Family bike
    Cons:
High end performance is okay as max speed 115 km/h with less power in segment of 150-160cc
    Bit expensive

    Sibo

I started riding the TVS luna when I was in class 6th and the m80 in class 8th, cd dawn when I was at class 9th and from then I rode - passion when I was in puc, Honda unicorn when I got my first job in bangalore, pulsar 150 and v15 when i was in vadodara, Avenger when I was in mumbai, v12 when I was in bangalore, and recently I got this beast now.
When you are a man who loves machines, this bike has a lot to offer. Forget about looks, let's talk about the feel. This bike has a monoshock which is really good for off-road as well as rugged biking. The front ABS is really good and the best part is riding ergonomics which is great compared to all the bikes I have rode. Relaxed handle position and wider and comfy seat.
Now what I have not mentioned above is I also was a great admirer of Honda activa, trust me you can travel 170 km at a stretch and you won't feel a bit just because of its refined engine and comfortable seat so the + point of yamaha here is you can also have good braking system and good ground clearance which will help you from sudden potholes and probable intruders on the road.
So now let's talk about looks. Honestly if you are a bike lover it's looks are amazing.
And last but not the least - A great engine which is most suitable for crazy people who often loose control when they get free roads. This bike will not allow to go past 112 so relax you are in safe hands.
Have a great ride with whatever bike you choose. And once you choose this believe me you will just keep it forever.
    Thanks.

  • 14 months, 21000kms riding experience

    Shashank M K

    14 months ownership
    21,000/- km driven
    *Pros*
Comfortable seating position for both rider and pillion. Enough room for both.
Smooth handling and maneuvering over turns and corners. Build quality is great. Retro look for a 150cc bike looks good and People do notice vehicles on the road.
Good for city-ride motorcycles and medium-range rides.
    Build quality is at par
Awesome feedback from breaks both front(ABS👌🏼) and rear.
    Good Highway mileage(50kmpl)
No heating issues even after continuing the ride for 200Km.
Overall a satisfying motorcycle for smooth and steady riders who maintain Average speed between 40-65kmph
Engine refinement is at its best with Yamaha.
Recommend going with Blue or Matt Black color, Matt Copper color shades after a few months which make the vehicle look dull.
    *Cons*
Lacks power over 65kmps speed, Especially with pillion sitting.
1.75L is Quite Expensive for a 150cc motorcycle
Vibration Starts at the handlebar, mirror, and footpecks above 80/85kmph, but not too much.
Demands general service very often, Changed my Chain sprocket just after 14,000kms(Maybe because I wasn't maintained well before)
Recommended to get the service done in the showroom rather than a local service station, especially in Bangalore.
Not satisfied with a max speed of 115kmph, in fact, craves for power over 100 itself, Rarely reaching 120kmph.
Mileage over 74kmph(Noneconomy range) is worse, hardly gives 30/35kmpl.
The severe issue is in the painting, Can see paint wearing off on the Clutch/Front break, handlebar, and on tank.
Mainly Seat should have been mounted firmly, Creates a lot of sound in humps as the seat is very loosely attached.
The gear indicator is not there, which is necessary in City rides.
Sometimes gear shift isn't so smooth, Have had several incidents when it has been stuck suddenly when trying to change gears from 3rd to 2nd or 2nd to 1st, especially in Bangalore traffic it irritates me a lot.
Overall it's a 3.5* for people who expect powerful motorcycles.
    But
4* for smooth and steady riders.

Typing this after swlling my fz-x. Waited for a long for xsr and yamaha launched fz-x and cheated indian customers/fans. One of the underpowered 150cc in the market. And they could have named it fz- xl it seems like that from the front. Servicing and maintenance is ok but we can't cruise with this in higher speeds. Performance is what we except. It doesn't hurt you yamaha you could have provide us with xsr. When a company like yamaha doesn't think of introducing xsr even after the fans plead it's disgusting. We are going to pay not requesting the bike for free. I am no more a yamaha fan hereafter. Switching to yezdi scrambler and i booked it. After almost 15 years for the first time i am purchasing a non-yamaha bike. Nowadays yamaha bikes are overpriced. They launch the bike and after each and every 2 or 3 months they increase the price of the bikes. Started to hate yamaha. Thank you yezdi for the amazing scrambler.

    Anoop

It is a good bike for those who rides more than 60 km /day. I was using unicorn before this bike is a good replacement for unicorn. Getting an 62 km/l mileage. Tested two times Via full tank method. Riding comfort is awesome .I am very happy about this bike. Don't go for those negative reviews put by XSR lovers they never saw this vehicle at all. This bike is excellent.

  • Complete package in 150 cc segments

    Umesh Sarode

It is really amazing bike. I was looking comfort for riding & I am glad to see fzx which give me what I want. I also like it's retro look design. Pros 1) comfort for rider as well as pillion 2) brakes quality 3) good mileage
Cons 1) 6th gear could help 2) blue tooth is not upto mark 3) 20 mm seat height more than fzs.
I would like to recommend this bike who is looking for comfort & retro looks.
I had seen many comments ,review & ratings from other who has expected xrs 155 launch but Yamaha had launched fzx & hence comparing same & putting their negative rating so just avoid & take test ride before you purchase.

    Shaheed

Way bigger than it looks.. Not for speeding but decent speed. Very very comfortable. Flat seats for city rides.
Mileage is good. It is also very easy to ride and good for your back too. This is a commute bike not a racing bike. If you are tired of your moped go for this. People will definitely notice. Go for it.

  • Superb but costly 149cc bike

    Santhosh Kumar R

Most have rated and reviewed negatively by just watching in videos and pictures but actually when you watch it live/physically it is impressively good with premium quality. Those who are waiting for xsr 155 have rated and reviewed as low without even test ride or physical appearance.
    Pros:
    Awesome design, unique in segment
Retro style in combined with scrambler look
    Daily cruiser
Low and medium performance are excellent
    Reliable, refined, assured engine
    With usb and bluetooth connectivity

    Cons:
High end performance is okay as max speed 115 km/h with less power in segment of 150-160cc
    Bit expensive

    Thanks.

  • Yamaha FZ X review

    Waqass Ali

Everything is fine except the power of this bike. It would a great bike if Yamaha India launch this bike with a better engine performance. Pulsar 150 has a better performance than fz x. I have never expected a 150cc bike from Yamaha which barely touch 100 to 110 km/h. I would suggest Yamaha to launch a version 2 of this bike with a better performance.

    Mark

  • Underpowered bike

  • Awesome Mileage and Riding Comfort

  • No plastic. Just grand look

Go for it.
