Hero Mavrick 440 Review – Image Gallery

Hero MotoCorp recently launched the Mavrick 440 in India and we rode it for a couple of days. This is not only Hero’s most expensive motorcycle but also the most powerful. So, should you purchase the Hero Mavrick 440? Read ahead to find out.

Hero Mavrick 440 Front View

On the design front, the new Hero Mavrick 440 appears butch and stylish. It gets neo-retro bodywork comprising a round LED headlight, muscular fuel tank, and a single-piece seat.

Hero Mavrick 440 – Variants Explained

Hero is offering the Mavrick in three variants – Base, Mid, and Top. We tested the top-spec trim and it comes loaded with all the bells and whistles, including the fully digital console. The unit boasts smartphone connectivity too.

Now, since the Mavrick 440 is based on the Harley-Davidson X440, it gets the same 440cc, single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled engine that makes 26bhp and 36Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox.

The motor builds revs gradually and can sit at 100kmph at ease around the 4,000rpm mark. It holds oodles of torque and is suitable for cruising at triple-digit speeds if needed. We were quite impressed with the Mavrick 440 and think it is possibly the best motor to come from Hero MotoCorp.

Even the clutch on the new Hero Mavrick is quite light and easy to operate. This is further complemented by the slick-shifting gearbox as well.

The Mavrick 440 rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. These springs are set up well enough and feel pliant. While the rear spring isn’t exactly plush, it doesn’t induce any fatigue with the current ride quality.

Even the weight distribution on the Mavrick 440 is on point. Its proportions and handling reflect the same.
