It is THE access with a sports scooter suit on. The average is best 58kmpl when you drive carefully in the city. The instrument cluster is awesome. It gives a lot of information. The storage box is very spacious as well as the footplate. The Colour options are good. Matt black looks like a panther. I have the spl edition which is ₹355 more expensive than the others.

The buying experience was very good even got discounted price and complimentary accessories as well
    Pros:
The looks and design are killer in this segment and the riding experience is smooth jitter free it's a lightweight vehicle easy to ride and you got a lot of storage space large footboard 2 front storage pocket a USB charging port in glovebox compartment and large under-seat storage comfortable while riding and even with pillion suspension quality and feedback is good.
    Cons:
There are a few cons as the rear tire does not provide better grip but is easily fixable with a wide grip tire, the headlight is on the weaker side and adequately bright but in darker areas or on highways you will require some additional lights rear mudguard plastic quality could have been better because it feels a little flimsy.
Overall I am riding this vehicle for almost the past six months and my experience with Suzuki Avenis is good it's a reliable ride a comfortable one for the city and for highways too service cost is also not much so you will be having a better experience fully recommended from my side.

  • My overall experience after 4 months

    Abhishek

Firstly buying experience, bought it from dolphin suzuki dealership in Mumbai during diwali of 2022 as it had a good offer going on. The buying experience was smooth, tell the dealership to not put a seat cover, or handle grip, save that money and get it installed a good one from outside. Also check helmet size before delivery, if it fits you perfectly or not. My suggestion would be to buy a helmet from the outside itself and cut down costs from total on-road pay from the dealership.
Now coming to the scooty itself, it is smooth, accelerates fast and balance is good. In the initial month of purchase, the road grip will be very poor but after a month it will be fine. Breaks are very reliable no issues there, the suspension is a little stiff but not much to complain about if u live in a metro city where most of the roads are decent enough to commute. Seat height is good, and experience with a pillion is also seamless, no complaints of cramps on the legs for a pillion, as a rider your elbows will keep hitting the pillion's knees ( if the pillion's height is 5'10 or above).
The long-ride experience is decent. Yes, hands pain and hips hurt after riding for 1.5-2 hrs continuously but I think that happens to most of this range commuter bikes.
The seat's shape could have been improved, as a rider, I keep sliding forward due to the shape of the seat.
The boot space is good, and I keep a full-face helmet in it which still gives me a decent amount of space for a few more things, the front glove compartment is also good, and I keep my phone and wallet in it while driving, it doesn't fall out. The small usb space compartment is also good enough no complaints there, the feet area space is also very much spacious enough to keep office bags hooked on, and there are two hooks in the feet area space which are very helpful and reliable I keep office bags there while traveling. It never falls and gives enough space for foot placement too.
Now the mileage part. So till now 4 months and 900kms later driving it on normal roads, highways, bad roads, with pillion(sometimes) and bad traffic, it has given me 48kmpl after 1st service. Which I think is very commendable and expected from it.
My service experience was okayish paid like 2500rs which included installing a footrest, a new seat cover, and normal servicing cost.
The paint quality is good and the fiber quality is also not bad.
Till now the scooter has not given me any issues to whin upon.
It does grab some attention from people because it's a new model and people keep asking about it.
The looks are good the most eye-grabbing color is the blue race edition and the matte black edition.
My final suggestion will be if you are thinking of buying this scooter then go for the non-bt edition.
I was getting a great deal for this one so I went for it, ie 1.03lakh on road including everything. But if you are getting a deal for more than 1.10 lakhs then go for burgman.

    Ahmed

Well, to start with the buying experience it's not the first time I was buying a 2-wheeler so I knew what to expect from them. The overall buying experience was good.
So previously I had a 2018 bs4 access which I used for 3 years and that was one of the major reasons to not consider access again.
Since the engine is the same as the access/burgman platform I knew how would it perform.
So it's slightly small than the suzuki access in terms of dimensions, it's compact, sharp, and agile perfect for city rides not that you cannot do highway rides, but I was majorly impressed with the noise/vibration levels as they are kept to the bare minimum in fact better than access may be because access is a brand now doing sales for itself so they have recently worked hard on avenis as they need sales numbers from avenis now, also the suspensions I found to be better than access, there is no rattling sound at all from anywhere. It's aerodynamic and I feel the coefficient of drag is less with avenis when compared to access. It's perfect for riders who are 5.4,5.5,5.6 upto 5.7 tall I believe and if you are tall close to 6 feet and on the heavier side you should consider the access or burgman.
I feel the rare tyre which is 90/90/10 a bit skinny as this machine is quick and also you will witness wheel spin so at least a 100/90/10 tyre would have been apt. I am getting a mileage of 48 to 50 kmpl after the 1st service and I am sure it will increase a little bit as and when the remaining 3 more free services left with me are done.
Servicing and maintenance cost is again fair and bare minimum as with all the japanese makers.
    Pros *sharp and quick
    *fuel efficient
    *reliable and trusted engine
Cons *all lights are led then why only turn
    indicators are normal bulb
    * petrol flap cannot be opened from
    ignition slot
    * exhaust (silencer) is a straight pick
from burgman they could have made it
compact and sharp instead they went
    for cost-cutting.
    * boot light missing

  • Awesome looks and smooth experience

    Rama Rao

The buying experience is good but the dealers are selling it at an increased rate that was bad. The riding experience is very good. It is very easy to handle and gives a smooth riding experience compared to other rivals. The mileage is decent, it gives me 40 kmpl. The looks are very good and attractive. I have a minor issue with the mirrors. The cons of the scooty is 1)it attracts dust very easily, regular cleaning is needed 2) the rear brake is not so good compared to ntorq and it gives a different feeling with applying the rear brake.
The final answer is this is soo good for looks and handling.

  • Best mileage sporty scooter I love avenis

    Vivek Kumar Rajak

Purchase my Suzuki Avenis bt, on 1st October in hyderabad. I have ridden 1000 km so far, rider seat and pillion both are up to the mark. Pick up and the mileage is amazing, it gives you a comfortable riding experience. Its visual appeal is amazing. I got my first service online, the overall experience was pleasing.
Pros: 50-plus mileage in this segment is indeed amazing.
Cons: the price is a little higher.
    Overall good purchase for youngsters.
    Just go far it.

  • To Buy or Not To Buy Suzuki Avenis 125

    Neelesh Prabhakar Bangera

Was looking for a second-hand scooter for a short grocery commute for my Senior citizen father, checked a few here and there but was not satisfied with the price vs conditions after thorough research felt a New scooter would be much beneficial and a worry-free purchase.
Researched online for a daily commute scooter with practical use features. As I already owned a 2015 Honda Activa 3G, another Activa was ruled out also it would be a featureless purchase. Was waiting for a Maxi scooter from Honda but the wait is never-ending. Had listed out Yamaha Aerox, TVS Ntorq, Suzuki Burgman and Ather 450x and was in love with Aerox with all its suspension & plastic quality demerits. The only thing that kept me away from buying Aerox was the ease of availability at the Showroom and later its usability for my father as it was also one of the reasons to buy a scooter and not a bike. Dropped Aerox due to cost and plastic quality issues and to avoid compulsive buying. While researching for other 125 cc scooters came across Suzuki Avenis, it had almost all the features if not all for a comfortable commute. With sporty looks and mileage more than most other scooters, turn-by-turn navigation, full digital display and pockets on both sides for small stuff make it the ideal scooter for family & younger generation.
Experience at the showroom was a roller-coaster ride, with all good and one bad experience. Came in to check out Avenis and was impressed with the looks and features which one or the other scooters missed. It was sold to me within an hour, with delivery promised the next day morning. The only downside was I was told 8% interest but the same came to around 17% which in that glitter I missed calculating myself. Also I was promised free Accessories like a Helmet, floor mat, indicator buzzer, side step, seat cover, handle bar grip & 3ltrs Fuel all was which was honoured just the helmet was non-genuine.
Great Looks! It’s a Head-turner, especially the Grey-Green combo, never expected people to stand and stare at a Scooter. But hey all that glitter is not gold, it too has its share of issues along with Pros.
    Let’s start with Pro's-
    >Above 55kmpl Mileage (got max 67kmpl on Highway)
    > Sporty Aggressive Looks
    > Good under-seat storage space can fit a basic full-face Helmet.
    > 2 Hooks for your groceries in front.
    > 1 Closed Glove box with USB charging & 1 bottle holder on either side
    > Good suspensions much smoother rides in Tar Road.
    >Good riding posture for the Rider & and a step-up seat for the Pillion.
Now the Con's Read carefully as for some issues I have not found a single review highlighting these issues.
    > Starter Noise is way too loud (my 7-year-old Activa is much quieter).
    > Cluster Display buttons are very hard to press even harder when to need to long press for reset, this is something missed by all reviewers.
    > Engine Noise though it's smooth It doesn't feel/sound refined or like new.
    > Hand Brake is too tight to operate, in two months not even a single time I have been able to engage hand brake even by using 2 hands.
    > Turn By Turn Navigation requires you to study the Turn symbols beforehand with only major destination available in search (Map my India)
    > Don't know if it’s the main stand placement or the hollow wide grab rail which makes it difficult to put the scooter in the main stand.
    > No Pass or Hazard or Auto Start/stop.
The main turn-off was during the first Service had highlighted the issues with the service center but for Suzuki the Starter and engine noise, tight handbrake and hard-to-press cluster buttons are normal and nothing can be done for the same. The First Service was done at 750km and required an Oil Change with the overall cost coming to around ₹400/-.
The My Suzuki App is just okay with nothing much to offer, would be of much use if had a fuel log or provided actual riding data which is available with other manufacturers.
Overall I still feel it’s a better Scooter with a mix of all elements like style, comfort and mileage. One Ride on Tar road highway and you sold.

    Maaz Shariff

It is THE access with a sports scooter suit on. The average is best 58kmpl when you drive carefully in the city. The instrument cluster is awesome. It gives a lot of information. The storage box is very spacious as well as the footplate. The Colour options are good. Matt black looks like a panther. I have the spl edition which is ₹355 more expensive than the others.

    Tahir Khan

  • Sharp & sporty

    * boot light missing

  • Best sporty looking fuel efficient scooter

    Maaz Shariff

It is THE access with a sports scooter suit on. The average is best 58kmpl when you drive carefully in the city. The instrument cluster is awesome. It gives a lot of information. The storage box is very spacious as well as the footplate. The Colour options are good. Matt black looks like a panther. I have the spl edition which is ₹355 more expensive than the others.

    Tahir Khan

  • Sharp & sporty

    * boot light missing
