The 2023 Suzuki Access 125 has received mechanical updates to comply with the upcoming OBD2-A emission norms in the Indian market. This On-Board Diagnostics System aims to detect system failures and indicate any faults in the vehicle system. Meanwhile, the mechanical specifications continue to use a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that delivers a maximum output of 8.5bhp at 6,750rpm and a peak torque of 10Nm at 5,500rpm.
The changes to the 2023 model are limited to the addition of new hardware to comply with the newest norms. Meanwhile, the design continues to feature a single-pod headlight, apron-mounted front turn indicators, curvy body panels, a side-slung exhaust with heat shield, and a single-seat pillion grabrail.
The suspension hardware, too, remains unchanged, and the complete range uses telescopic front forks and a single rear spring to handle the suspension duties. Then, the braking setup on the base model includes drum brakes on both wheels, while the rest of the variants feature a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the back. The safety net on all versions of this 125cc scooter includes a combined braking system.
The 2023 Access 125, similar to its predecessor, will be available in three variants – Standard, Special, and Connect Edition. The prices and colours vary depending on the paint option selected. The Suzuki Access 125 series rivals the likes of the Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and Fascino 125 in the Indian market.

Other scooters consideredActiva and Jupiter. Selected Access as we have old-generation access.LikesAcceleration - Less effort to get going from a complete stop and have good power throughout.Seat - The seat is wide and soft and provides a comfortable ride for both occupants.Suspension - Ride quality is good, not stiff as old generation access. It absorbs bumps and goes over speed breakers easily.Disk brake - Appreciate them over drum brakes.Lock - Love the locking mechanism of access plus they provided a button for shutter lock whereas in the old generation, you had to do it manually.Ground Clearance - It's ample, no problem at all.LED headlight- Throw is good.Storage - It is wide and deep.DislikesLED Headlight - LED lights don't go well with Fog. I find it difficult to see with white LED light. (You see more when the light is OFF compared to when it's ON)Key - The key can only be inserted from one side only, not upside down.Combi Brake - Not a fan of them, I feel less confident with new access. Fuel cap - Hate the lock mechanism. Have faced problems many times.Fuel pump - Fuel pump noise is high (when you turn on ignition it can be heard) but it goes away after 2-3 seconds.Protection bar - It protrudes more and covers the side footrest area plus the footrest is little inside to my liking.Service CostAlways got it serviced at an authorized service center. AMC card (Rs 950 ish) includes a discount on parts, labor charges, 4 extra washing, and a few more items.

Tips for other riders
Tail light can develop cracks and the fuel lid closure is problametic, so keep that in mind and apply oil every month on the fuel lid.

Oil burn out vehicle
Hidhayath
I own a Suzuki Access 2019 BS4 disc. From day 1 faced these problems.1. Engine oil consumption ( actual fill 650ml as per manual, after 2000 km oil change found only 300 to 350 ml). My friends who own the access complain the same. How can a brand-new vehicle burn oil?2. The front odometer cable worm fails repeatedly, I have replaced it 4 times since 2019 and the odometer needle vibrating doesn't work properly as per speed driven.I expect an answer from Suzuki?

It's a perfect ride partner for right from your daily commute to small outdoor tours with your loved one. The look is classy and elegant. The best part about this scooter is the sufficient leg space it offers along with the immersive riding experience. The suspension is good and it offers mileage to 47 KMPL. The brakes are smooth. Even the dealers are friendly.

Worst two-wheeler ever used
Kanhaiya Powar
I have purchased Suzuki Access 125 in the year 2015. Buying the Suzuki Access 125 was the worst decision I've ever taken. Suffering from high maintenance costs right after two years. The vehicle is non-reliable and experienced breakdown conditions many times during trips. High maintenance, non-reliable, low mileage. In the last three years, suffering from high maintenance.
