India Yamaha Motor has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new YZF-R15S V3.0 in our market. This new variant of the motorcycle uses a single-piece step-up seat instead of the split-style unit on the YZF-R15 V4.0. The motorcycle is available in a single paint option – Racing Blue.
Yamaha says that while the YZF-R15 V4.0 is being appreciated by customers across India, the company’s research has shown that the buyers want a more viable option to commute with a pillion, without having to compromise on the Racing DNA of the YZF-R15.
The mechanical specifications retain the 155cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC, four-valve engine Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) setup. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor delivers 18.34bhp of maximum power at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm.
The feature list is similar to the YZF-R15 V4.0, although this variant misses a traction control system and a quick-shifter. The feature list on the YZF-R15S V3.0 includes a multi-function LCD instrument cluster with a gear-shift indicator, dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, and a side stand indicator with engine cut-off function. The hardware continues to use a Deltabox frame and an aluminium swingarm. The suspension tasks are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock. The braking hardware comprises single discs on both wheels.

The average of the R15S is 42 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

V3 is the sexiest bike after the V2. Proud to be a V3 owner and mine is BS4

If you are ready to drive a sport bike...Then go for it. It will give you the same feel and you feel like a rider. As per comfort concerns, it will take time to be used on a bike. Else you will love it. It was my dream bike and finally, I make it mine.

First of all, it was the bike I wanted for 1 year, finally bought it in December 2021, and my riding experience with duke 250 is incomparable, I did 2 long rides so far in different terrains but this bike never gave me any stress.. It's an eye-catching machine for sure.. Maintenance cost is not so high, it'll cost you around 3.5k per servicing if nothing goes majorly wrong with the machine.. Pros - brakes are the major pros I noticed, whether you're on hill roads or slippery roads brakes never fail to do their job. I'll give 10 on 10 to the brakes.. Cons - mileage could be better, and tuning should be adjustable.. Lastly handle this machine responsibly, with great power comes great responsibility.. Happy riding.

It was a dream from the age of 15 to own a yamaha machine. At my 22 birthday, my father took me to his small activa and he told me we are going to buy your birthday gift. I was confused why he is taking me to buy it he could have brought it prior. At last, the scooter stopped in front of a huge board and my heart started beating, my excitement and confusion started hitting me again. And I got hands-on with that beautiful machine it was r15 v3 . The riding experience is awesome. We are actually sitting inside a cockpit that kind of comfort we will get in v3 . Everybody knows that in terms of looks and performance and also mileage there is no other bike in its segment is there to compete with v3 . Maintenance is like a normal bike. As compared to other bikes in the segment its really cheap. Pros - looks, mileage, performance, reliability, gears are crisp.Cons- I haven't felt any but many people told me that there was the issue of back pain due to the postureOther than that I haven't felt any.

Try to do the lubing every 500km and also go with a good quality synthetic oil. Don't go with off-brands. I normally use Motul.

The customer service is marvelous as you pay lots of money for it, this is one of the most important factors for a good experience.Riding experience is awesome, had loads of fun in city but bike is not for long rides. You will experience back and hand pain if you're in that position for about a few hours continuously. Best for city rides.Looks are stunning no complaints about it, bike performs really well, engine is refined and very smooth minimal vibrations, pickup is better than most 125 and 155 cc segment bikes.Pillion comfort is not bad neither good, but due to the unibody seat it has seen an improvement. Again pillion will experience ass pain if he/she sits for a long period of time...Maintenance cost is very lowThe most favorable part of this beauty is that you get a really money saving mileage as well as it goes to top speeds upto 140+. This is very rare as it is 155cc, this is where the vva technology helps.Bike is best for youths only, uncles can ride it but their body will experience stress compared to younger boys.
