Himalayan 450: The Ultimate Adventure Companion"
    Himanker Pariya
The Himalayan 450 has become instantly popular with adventure lovers, who just cannot seem to get enough of the “hot” bike. With its rugged aesthetics and dirt-busting power, it is perfect for touring, both on-road and off-road. Cosmetically, the Himalayan 450 makes a good first impression, standing out for its solid structure and contemporary looks. The bike’s chassis is excellently housed and well proportioned in a way that instills confidence and there is also an accommodating seating position that would be well suited for tough long rides. The new LED headlamps are powerful and brighten the road ahead, making night rides more secure. A 450 cc engine powers the Himalayan 450 and it is one of the smoothest revving engines around. What is more, the torque output makes it easy to ride on mountains too, and is therefore very approachable to old and new riders. The sixth gear gets timely changes without any noticeable hitch that overextends the riding mood. Where it wows the most is the suspension system. The long travel front and rear suspension are great for controlling the motorcycle over bumps, dips, and even in treasure-seeking activities where there are plenty of obstacles and the high ground clearance allows these activities to be performed easily. Besides, the motorcycles are made of light materials, and therefore they are easy to control allowing one to take corners and dark vague twisting mountains or rocky trails. In terms of technology, the Himalayan 450 models have a modern risk romano of assault rifles and a digital meter as a feature that provides appropriate functionality.

A great machine made by a hero that everyone will remember forever

Decent power for most mountain trails, especially for riders new to off-roading. The bike does what it’s meant to do i.e. mild off-roading and then some more with great ease. A good combination of compliant stock suspension and nimble handling makes it very fun to ride on broken city roads as much as the trails. The spares and service experience so far have been good. Nothing to complain about. Triple-digit highway runs for a sustained period are indeed doable, if one can ignore the vibrations and fuel efficiency. There’s not much loss of power/performance even in the scorching summer heat when the bike was ridden for hours and 100+ km at a stretch. Braking is pretty good for the off-road but strictly okay at highway speeds (80-90+). The dual-purpose tires are surprisingly good on all sorts of tarmac. When ridden sedately, 400-450 km is easily doable on a single tank. Stock seats are just okay for short rides. Long trips on the stock seat are a pain.

    1. I bought this from the Suzuki showroom in Thane, (Kiran Suzuki), the overall experience was good, but we very clear they are not giving any accessories unless we ask them 2. This bike is very smooth to ride, above 7000 rpm she is a beast, and below that she is a good commute. I never had to worry about potholes she take them very well. 3. Look-wise, everyone will stop to take a look and ask you if she is a superbike, she is a head turner. 4. Performance-wise she has two face clams and is easy to handle till 5000rpm, a beast at 7000rpm nicely tuned engine ensures smooth power transmission. I can say best in the segment Cons could be the display, for a bike like this Suzuki should have gone for a TFT display, Suspension is good but not the best, Braking is not the best need to be very careful.

    Engine noise

Royal Enfield Bikes - Engine Noise and Service Issues Owning a Royal Enfield bike can be a mixed experience, and many enthusiasts have raised concerns about the brand's engine noise and service quality. One of the primary issues reported by Royal Enfield owners is the persistent engine noise, often described as a "tapped noise." This sound is not only annoying but also raises concerns about the engine's longevity and overall reliability. The iconic thump of the Royal Enfield, which many riders adore, seems to be overshadowed by this irritating noise, making the riding experience less enjoyable. Moreover, the service provided by Royal Enfield has been criticized by numerous customers. Many have complained about the unprofessional attitude of the service centers, lack of proper maintenance, and the inability to effectively resolve recurring issues. Despite multiple visits to the service centers, the engine noise problem often remains unaddressed, leaving owners frustrated and dissatisfied. The combination of these issues makes it challenging to recommend Royal Enfield bikes. The appeal of the brand, which is often tied to its vintage charm and robust build, is significantly diminished by these practical drawbacks. Potential buyers should weigh these concerns carefully before making a purchase. While the Royal Enfield's aesthetic and legacy are attractive, the consistent reports of engine noise and subpar service are significant drawbacks. For those considering a Royal Enfield, it might be wise to explore other options or wait until the company addresses these prevalent issues. Customer feedback suggests a need for the brand to improve its quality control and service standards significantly. Until then, the romantic idea of riding a Royal Enfield might remain just that – an idea better appreciated from afar rather than experienced firsthand.
