The price is worth it in this segment. The real machine. The twin-cylinder engine in this budget is more pocket friendly for riders. Stunning looks. But have to compromise the mileage... Although it's good. Enjoying the smooth and sexy ride.No one can beat this bike in this segment. Having this bike I'm a happy customer among the royal Enfield family. Love it.

The buying experience for the GT 650, a popular motorcycle model, can vary depending on factors like dealership reputation, customer service, and your personal preferences. Many riders have reported positive experiences, highlighting the smooth handling and power of the bike, as well as helpful dealership staff who assist with test rides, financing options, and after-sales support. However, as with any purchase, it's essential to research dealerships, compare prices, and ensure you're comfortable with the buying process before making a decision.
The best riding experience on a GT 650 typically involves finding scenic routes with smooth roads and minimal traffic to fully enjoy the bike's performance and handling. Whether it's cruising through winding country roads, tackling challenging mountain passes, or exploring picturesque coastal highways, the GT 650's power and agility make for an exhilarating ride. Additionally, riding in comfortable weather conditions and wearing appropriate safety gear can enhance the overall experience. Ultimately, the best riding experience is subjective and depends on individual preferences and the kind of adventure you seek on your motorcycle.

    **Looks:**
    1. **Cafe Racer Design:** The GT 650 boasts a classic cafe racer silhouette, characterized by its low-slung, sculpted fuel tank, rear-set footpegs, and clip-on handlebars, giving it a sporty and aggressive stance.

    4. **Classic Details:** Details like the round headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and sleek tail section pay homage to the cafe racer heritage while incorporating modern touches.
    **Performance:**
    1. **650cc Parallel-Twin Engine:** The heart of the GT 650 is a 650cc air-cooled parallel-twin engine, delivering a smooth and refined power delivery with ample torque throughout the rev range.
    2. **Power and Torque:** The engine produces around 47 horsepower and 52 Nm of torque, providing enough punch for spirited acceleration and highway cruising.
    3. **Six-Speed Transmission:** Paired with a slick six-speed transmission, the GT 650 offers precise gear shifts and versatility for various riding conditions.
    4. **Chassis and Suspension:** Its double-cradle frame provides excellent stability and handling characteristics, while the front telescopic forks and rear twin shock absorbers offer a comfortable ride and confident cornering.
    5. **Braking System:** Equipped with disc brakes on both wheels and ABS as standard, the GT 650 ensures reliable stopping power and safety in all conditions.
Overall, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 blends classic cafe racer aesthetics with modern performance capabilities, making it a desirable choice for riders seeking both style and substance in their motorcycle.
Service and maintenance for the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 are crucial for ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of the bike. Here's an overview of what's typically involved:
    **Regular Maintenance:**
    1. **Oil Changes:** Regular oil changes are essential to keep the engine running smoothly. The recommended interval for oil changes is usually every 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers, depending on the manufacturer's guidelines.
    2. **Filter Replacements:** Air and oil filters should be checked and replaced as needed to maintain engine efficiency and prevent dirt and debris from entering critical components.
    3. **Chain Maintenance:** Proper chain lubrication and tension adjustment are necessary to prolong chain life and ensure smooth power delivery to the rear wheel.
    4. **Tire Inspections:** Regularly inspecting tire pressure, tread wear, and overall condition is vital for safety and handling. Tires should be replaced when worn or damaged.
    5. **Brake Checks:** Brake pads, discs, and fluid levels should be inspected regularly to ensure optimal braking performance and safety.
    **Scheduled Services:**
    1. **Major Services:** At specified intervals, typically every 5,000 to 10,000 kilometers, major services are required. These may involve more comprehensive checks, including valve clearance adjustments, throttle body synchronization, and overall system inspections.
    2. **Electrical System Checks:** Periodically checking the battery, lights, and electrical connections ensures reliable operation of the bike's electrical components.
    3. **Coolant System Maintenance:** If equipped with a liquid cooling system, coolant levels and condition should be checked regularly, and the coolant should be replaced according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
    **Professional Servicing:**
    1. **Authorized Service Centers:** It's advisable to have servicing and maintenance performed by authorized Royal Enfield service centers or qualified mechanics familiar with the GT 650 to ensure proper care and use of genuine parts.
    2. **Warranty Considerations:** Adhering to the manufacturer's recommended service schedule is essential for maintaining warranty coverage, if applicable.
    **Owner's Manual:**
Consulting the owner's manual provided by Royal Enfield is crucial for understanding the specific maintenance requirements and intervals for the Continental GT 650. Following the recommended maintenance schedule helps keep the bike in top condition and ensures a safe and enjoyable riding experience.
Certainly! Here are some pros and cons of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650:
    **Pros:**
    1. **Classic Styling:** The GT 650 features a timeless cafe racer design with retro aesthetics, appealing to riders who appreciate vintage-inspired motorcycles.

    2. **Affordable:** Compared to many other bikes in its class, the GT 650 offers good value for money, making it accessible to a wide range of riders.
    3. **Parallel-Twin Engine:** The 650cc parallel-twin engine provides smooth power delivery and ample torque, offering a balance of performance and reliability.
    4. **Comfortable Riding Position:** With its rear-set footpegs and low handlebars, the GT 650 offers a sporty yet comfortable riding position, suitable for both short rides and long-distance touring.
    5. **Customization Potential:** Royal Enfield offers a range of accessories and customization options, allowing riders to personalize their GT 650 to suit their taste and riding style.
    **Cons:**
    1. **Vibrations:** Some riders may experience vibrations, particularly at higher speeds, which can affect long-distance comfort and refinement.
    2. **Build Quality:** While Royal Enfield has made improvements in recent years, some riders have reported issues with build quality and reliability, including minor issues with fit and finish.
    3. **Limited Performance:** While adequate for most riding scenarios, the GT 650's performance may not satisfy riders seeking high-speed performance or aggressive cornering capabilities.
    4. **Limited Dealer Network:** Depending on the region, finding authorized Royal Enfield service centers and parts availability may be challenging, affecting convenience and after-sales support.
    5. **Handling:** While generally competent, the GT 650's handling may not match that of more focused sport bikes, particularly in aggressive riding situations.
Overall, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 offers classic styling, decent performance, and customization options at an affordable price point, but it may come with some trade-offs in terms of refinement and build quality. Potential buyers should consider their priorities and preferences carefully before making a decision.

    Tips for other riders

One essential maintenance tip for GT 650 owners, or any motorcycle riders, is to regularly check tire pressure and tread wear. Proper tire maintenance not only ensures safety but also enhances handling and fuel efficiency. Inspect the tires before each ride and adjust the pressure according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Additionally, monitor tread wear and replace tires when the tread depth becomes too shallow to maintain adequate traction, especially in wet or slippery conditions. Proper tire care is essential for a smooth and enjoyable riding experience while promoting overall safety on the road.

  • A pure beast

It was a very nice time having fun with this machine. It gives a pure adrenaline rush when you’re on the highways but in the city, it’s difficult to manage the heat & the aggressive riding position. Has a very bulky look and an unleashed performance. The servicing and maintenance are manageable when it comes to this machine compared to other machines in the same segment.

  • Don't buy.. its Pathetic.

Imagine riding on a signature bike from RE on a highway, at a speed of 90km/h in between the trucks, and suddenly your brakes are not working when you need them the most. Your life is in DANGER.
This is what happened to me 20 days ago while riding on a 4 lac Rs GT 650 which I bought last year.
In the very first week, the bike started showing its colors or they say the quality speaks for itself. The bike was switching off regularly while in neutral mode. The service center took 4 days to resolve the issue.
In the first five months, the instrument cluster got replaced 2 times after showing different issues. 1 time the sensor got replaced as it was also showing issues regularly.
On a highway one day, the bike got broken as the fuel pump was not working, it got towed down to the service center for repair. The fuel pump was also changed after 4 days of trials by the service team.
Noise on sudden acceleration from the engine and lack of power is something that is there from the very beginning.
In recent days I got lucky to save my life on a busy highway as the braking system of the bike failed to work multiple times. When I showed it to the service center they said everything is working fine and returned the bike. After this, I again faced the same issue and took the bike to the service center. After keeping the bike with themselves for 8-10 days the service guy told me that there is some major issue with the bike as there is some issue with the Gear system of the bike and they will have to send the bike to the main Rithala, Delhi-based service center. After almost 20 days, they are saying that they will have to open the engine to find out the issue as there is some problem with the acceleration system in the gearbox.
Now, tell me after spending a good 4 lac Rs I got this crap, and right after the purchase I am running to the different service centers to get the issue resolved. I accepted everything till now all the hustles all the problems I accepted but one thing I cannot accept at any cost is that my bike's engine will be opened for repair. I am an avid biker and people ask me every time for a review of this bike and till now I have nothing good to say about it or about the company.

  • Not the best but works fine

    Notttt

This bike is super nice but when you are riding in the city it’s really hot near your legs and 650cc is not useful in city riding mode and its riding posture is not suitable for long rides so it’s a typical city bike and 650cc isn’t good for city riding, it only gives a mileage of 16-18km/l and the fuel cost will be more for this bike. Coming to service it’s on a little expensive side and if there are any repairs ya damage to the bike it’s gonna cost so much!!
Who should buy this bike is ~
    1) who can afford more
    2) who likes the bike so much
    3) who need 650cc engine and will only ride in the city.

  • 650cc massive machine

    Wikki

The best cafe racer in India at an affordable price. Once you ride this machine, you will never go for another bike. The power, the quality of the bike, if you want mileage, then this is not for you.. But it gives a mileage of 25 to 28 kmpl which is super for a 650-parallel twin engine. Gears 1 2 3 touch 110kmph. But if ride like this, then you will get only 13 to 15kmpl. With proper gear shifts and good riding, you get 26 to 28kmpl. If you want a cafe racer & sports riding position, it is gt.. Or if you want a comfortable long-ride riding position, then it is interceptor.. It is 100 percent worth 3.5lakhs..

  • GT-650 | Read if you're buying one.

    Varun Singh

1- Buying Experience - In the excitement of buying the bike, I booked from two locations i.e. Raja Garden and Jhandewalan, I was told to wait for 4-5 months at both locations though people at Raja Garden deceived by saying something different over the call and changing statements when met in person. I ignored it all just for the excitement of buying the bike despite not being provided the test ride.
2- Riding Exp: Well for obvious reasons, I could not revi it to the full during the engine breaking time i.e up to 500 Km/first service and it heated like anything. It felt as if I am sitting on a furnace until the first service. The first-time Cafe Racer rider will take up to 2-3 weeks to adapt to its nature (Committed posture) and in the first few weeks, you'll kind of re-evaluate your decision of buying this particular bike :P Man... those were some hard weeks, you name the body part and it was paining.. be it wrists, back, hands, neck, shoulder.. everything pained and it felt more of a punishment rather than an enjoyable bike ride. But when you get used to it, you'll love every bit of it. You gotta have it for weeks/months to decide whether it's a comfortable bike or not and it is one of the reason why many YouTubers or rather bike reviewers says that it is not a comfortable bike. After the first service, you'll feel the power it possesses and how fun and fast it can leave others behind while being a calm-looking cute little motorcycle. You can ride it both ways a hooligan or a gentleman in his suit.
3- Looks and performance- Need I say anything? Nah, GT 650 is pure love in terms of looks and it will always be. I chose the originally launched Rocker Red color and it looks stunning, obviously, the Mr. Clean is surely a head turner but paying an extra 32K for just that piece of Tank is non-sense. Go get it wrapped or buy a Chrome Tank for 11-12K :P The performance is a bit diluted and tamed for the low end. The sweet spot is mid and high-end. So beginners won't feel the difficulty in adapting to the power provided you're not twisting the throttle hard.
4- Servicing and maintenance- There is so much going on for the electricals and ECU, so you better get that extended warranty with it since those sensors and units cost a bomb. Servicing costs are about 3.5K when the oil change service is done which includes the oil filter etc. The service period is 10K followed by general look-up and top-up service at 5K intervals. so, all in all, it is equivalent to the smaller segment RE's 350s.
5- Pros - Looks, reliable engine, VFM, legacy.
Cons- frequent refueling (should have had larger fuel tank considering its mileage), lack of accurate fuel gauge (current one works weirdly and cannot be relied on), least add one Instrument Console from Hunter (Gear Position, Clock, etc) while maintaining the retro look.

Love it.

  • Royal Enfield GT 650

    Vinod Patel

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is renowned for its classic cafe racer styling combined with modern performance features. Here's a detailed breakdown of its looks and performance:
    **Looks:**
    1. **Cafe Racer Design:** The GT 650 boasts a classic cafe racer silhouette, characterized by its low-slung, sculpted fuel tank, rear-set footpegs, and clip-on handlebars, giving it a sporty and aggressive stance.
    2. **Dual-tone Paint Schemes:** It often comes in dual-tone paint schemes, with options like black and chrome, red and silver, or even custom color combinations, enhancing its retro appeal.
    3. **Exposed Components:** Many of its mechanical components are left exposed, such as the engine, frame, and suspension, adding to its raw and minimalist aesthetic.
