Excellent scooter by tvs
Puneet J Lonsane
Hello everyone,I would like to share some of my views on tvs jupiter. Tvs launched this scooter in September 2013 under the tagline “zyada ka phayda”. The tagline itself states that the scooter is fully packed with useful features. • the tvs jupiter comes with a 110cc cvt-i, 4 stroke engine. • the powerful engine delivers power upto 5.88 kw @ 7500 rpm: excellent power for a scooter in this segment. • the best thing of this scooter is the suspension. It comes with a telescopic suspension (front) and gas charged mono-shock (rear) suspension. The ride is very comfortable because of the suspension. • about the brakes: tvs jupiter comes with drum brakes (both front & rear). • the attractive speedometer console has a ‘low fuel’ indicator too. • the passing light switch is the first in class feature of this scooter. No other scooter in this segment has the passing light switch. • tvs claims 62 kmpl mileage for jupiter, but it gives around 50 kmpl mileage. • another best thing is the alloy wheels along with tubeless tyres. I have ridden my scooter for approximately 30,000 kms, and got the tyres changed to mrf tyres. • the external fuel filling system is too useful. You need not open the boot everytime you fuel up your jupiter. • tvs jupiter has a top speed of around 90 kmph. • if you need a scooter for city ride as well as long rides i would strongly suggest you to buy this excellent performance scooter by tvs.

The zx model looks awesome. Its very comfortable to ride in city but the mileage could have been better I got around 42-45 km/l. Overall riding experience is good for long drive. Acceleration is good enough. Braking is good. After sale services need to be improved. In comparison to all its rivals this scooty is best in indian market right now.

Worst experience ever had in TVS Sarur Showroom, I bought a new bike within 10 days and did start. It was repaired again within 2 days starting the problem. Left for servicing again did start in the showroom. The manager talks rudely with no manner of behaving, their talk is very irresponsible. Simply harassing the customer.

Best scooter in the segment
Pratik
1. Purchase experience was average. Dealer delayed the rto registration and also took handling charges extra. 2. Telescopic front suspension, gas-charged rear mono-shock combined with 12-inch alloy wheels make it one of the best scooters in terms of ride and handling. Cornering on jupiter improved by leaps and bounds when i replaced stock tyres with mrf zappers. 3. Build quality is very good. It feels built to last. Initial acceleration isn't as urgent as some of it's competitors but mid-range and top-end power is strong and the throttle is quite responsive. I've disc brake version and the braking is amazing for a scooter. Engine has some vibrations at idle but feels better smooth at 60 kmph. Top speed is ~85-90 kmph on straight road and the fuel efficiency is 45 kmph in city. 4. After sales service has been quite good. Completely satisfied so far. 5. Overall it's an excellent scooter and it's hard to find any major flaws.

Jupiter is worth buying
Nishant Gandhi
First of all you should always buy any vehicle in daylight as you can easily search for any damage, scratches ,dents etc. solo riding is really smooth but when riding with pillion,it struggles picking up the pace. Similarly while climbing the flyover it seems to be stressed .No complains about looks. You have to ride it carefully, passing over bad roads slowly. As far as braking is confirmed i would suggest everyone to use both brakes ie. Rear and front brakes. Maintenance is not very expensive. Finally if you are looking for a scooty in110cc segment it is one of those scooters which will not make you feel regret. So go for. Good luck!! happy riding:)

I am driving Jupiter for the last 5-6 years. Below is my point-wise review.01. Average: still I am getting more than 48km/l average, which is quite good.02. Look: sleek, I like it.03. Durability: still running well with proper maintenance.Overall, I am very much satisfied with my Jupiter and I would recommend people to go Jupiter over activa.

Worst service
Shilpa
Worst experience ever had in TVS Sarur Showroom, I bought a new bike within 10 days and did start. It was repaired again within 2 days starting the problem. Left for servicing again did start in the showroom. The manager talks rudely with no manner of behaving, their talk is very irresponsible. Simply harassing the customer.

Best scooter in the segment

Change engine oil and transmission oil after every 3000 kms. Service of clutch every 6000 kms Be easy on throttle as much as possible. Don't accelerate while braking.
