  • 650 interceptor is my love❤

    Devansh Pandey

Classic design, smooth power delivery, comfortable ergonomics, and extensive service network. Some riders may find it heavy, with occasional quality issues. But I love it when I get on it and its exhaust gives a feeling that non-bikes can give and I especially love to ride it in rainy seasons. If anyone wants to buy it do dont think about the cost because this bike was my dream to ride.

I bought it from teknik motors bangalore . Their customer service is not good . One should with cvs motors kalyan nagar . I have a classic 500 too , and both are serviced are cvs . Their customer service is very good . Talking about the bike , it's one of the best bike royal enfield has ever had . I've had experience having an electra , a classic 500 and now interceptor. Once you hit 100 on interceptor you feel the real power in it . Looks are classic and old school but it suits the re brand . Only cons i feel is low mileage and low headlight . But nothing is perfect.

I got my int650 after 55 days waiting which is quite reasonable seeing atrocious waiting period twins have.I was never really a royal enfield singles fan though i really like mesmerizing dug dug sound..But it fades before burbling sound 650 twins offer at stock exhaust so i choose 650 twins1.Riding experience- ride quality on int 650 is exceptional .Its quite stable even at speeds above 100km/h owing to its high kerb weight.Seat is little soft but not uncomfortable even after 2 hours of riding (it vary from person to person). But, its quite uncomfortable for pillion ...And yess foot pegs not at all scrap my shins even in traffic..2. Looks and performance - int 650 looks rather timeless..Complete old school classic Performance is very punchy at lower revs ..It really shines at mid range..Its phenomenal.Engine feels stress free and calm even at speed in excess of 120s ..Its silent..Though couple days back i encountered engine tapping once engine become warm..But its no problem.Tyres grips is extremely good and talking about braking.Braking- owing to its weight ..Its braking is exceptional(well statistics tell better than duke 390).They makes you confident even on wet roads..3.Service and maintenance -Owing to my first service experience ..Service cost was rupees 2461/-only ..Which is quite reasonable..Seeing engine size. Maintenance-it seek some maintenance like regular cleaning and lubing chain after 500 km etc. 4. Pros and cons. Pros-exceptional braking, ridiculous value for money, properly old school looks, engine smoothness is phenomenal, exhaust sound-burble sound is melancholy. Cons-pillion legs position uncomfortable ,its hard to maneuver manually , fuel indicator is vague, erratic.

wanted to know how the bike performance was, this one best cruiser bike in India for the price . you can not go wrong with this bike and pick up and braking is spot on but could have been better if we got wide tyres. Also should have got tubeless tyres cos getting them fixed is really difficult with disk and they charge 500.

Very helpful team of the dealer. This is my second re bike. Classic chrome 2012 was also superb. The engine is superb with so much power. Just a flick of wrist and boom. Really a powerful bike for both city commute as well as long rides. Seat need to be redesigned a bit for making it more appealing.

  • Rubber Side Down!

    Kaustubh Gupta

Never intended to get one due to the long long waiting period, but when I saw a new showroom opening, and they had a stock of I-650s, I just couldn't resist! 7 days, and the charming chrome-coloured Interceptor Mark 2 is HOME!!! One short push on the button, a little twist in the throttle and I get transported to a different dimension of motorcycling. The riding stance, the response from the engine, the vintage looks, and the sweet growl of the panther make eyeballs turn. The pickup is easy, smooth and equivalent to litre-class motorcycles. At the same time intimidating for people who just graduated from a smaller-engine motorcycle. RE has done a brilliant job in looking into all the aspects of creating a perfect bike... Errr, perfect beast.
No beast can be tamed easily, and they need a lot of care. Never cold start the bike, I repeat, NEVER COLD START THE BIKE! A little warm-up is very important for optimal performance. Cleaning the chains every week is important to maintain a good machine life. The service centres are nice, and they complete service on time if a prior appointment is taken.
Pros: Looks, engine, power, thrill, feel-good factor, I can go on and on.
Cons: A little vibration and heat don't bother, do they?

Riding my Mark 2 Chrome since Dec 2021 and covered nearly 4500kms in the machine.
    Pros-
    A very versatile engine
Fair riding posture without back aches
    Eye-catching torque
    Cons-
The engine heats up a lot
    Brakes are a bit skiddy
The transmission is not smooth, clutch gets stuck
    Seat modification is a necessity.
