Yamaha launched the YZF-R15 S for the Indian market based on the
customer feedback. The Japanese manufacturer claims that there were many
consumers who wanted to buy R15 version 2.0, but were put off because
of the uncomfortable rear seat. The single-piece seat on the R15 S is more comfortable for the pillion rider than the raised step seat on the standard bike.
Mechanically, there are no changes in the R15 S. The bike continues to be powered by the same 150cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This mill produces 16bhp at 8500rpm and peak torque of 15Nm at 7500rpm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The R15 S has been priced at Rs 1.15 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The ARAI mileage of Yamaha YZF R15 S [2015] is 42 kmpl. The average of the YZF R15 S [2015] is 40 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

Visual appeal. It's a combination of sporty and classic.Reliability: i used my r15s for my daily basis almost driven for 45 kms/day. I never felt any pain in my bodies still date. Having aggression riding position but not like v3, it's a plus point.Performance: surely it'll give u 50km/litre in traffic and 55+km/litre in highways. When you maintain economy that was around 65-85 ( yes! this is economy speed of this bike.)

I'm crazy about sporty bikes. I chosen this bike for the more riding posture offering to rider and i really enjoyed it. The looks is pretty cute look than any 150 cc sport bikes. The dual headlight r way better looks than single headlight. I service my bike to my friend. He is good mechanic and he had work in Yamaha's showroom.ProsVery comfort seat handle posture(if u love to ride sporty bikes)Engine is killing smooth and quite powerfull to compare with 150cc's.Handling control and also the cornering performance is easy with the low body weight.Comfort with both tall and short peopleNo vibration in low,.Mid or top rangeBreaking is good both rear and frontClutch is smoothConsHeadlight power is too lowNo absLess pillion comfort for long rides
